OMG, that Dodge truck brings back many memories. Back in the early 1970's, I worked for a moving company and they had at that time an old Dodge tractor. Single axle, gas job, it had both air brakes and vacuum brake system. Sounds weird, but wait, there is more. It was used to pull an old "round nose" 25 or 30 foot trailer, single axle, that was made in the 1940's, yes really! That trailer was so old, it "dog tracked" down the road, and there was no shop or mechanic willing to convert it from vacuum brakes to air. Good thing cuz sometime in the late 1970's someone jack knifed that trailer and nobody was wiling to take it on the road. That Dodge tractor was very under powered, but it always stared up and ran. Ah, the memories, glad to still be alive to tell this tale! Love your channel Rich!

Hey Rich! for the issue of the steer tires sticking out past the fenders, what about slicing the outboard 2" of the whole fender off, and then adding in a strip of filler sheet metal? that thing has pretty basic body lines, you could easily give it a 4" or 6" widebody kit that way and it would look stock.

Love your channel - keep up the good work. So next time - pull your spoked hubs of the axle - pull the bearings & races out - then contact your local trucking supply & have them get you new hubs for hub pilot or stud pilot - your choice that fit your bearings We did a similar thing - had 5 spoke rims on a 1989 IH - bought a 1994 IH due to not 5 spoke (budd rims) swapped front axle - we ended up with hub pilot rims - so that didn;t work with budd (stud pilot) system & the king pin was wiped on that axle also - so we had another 1994 IH with 5 spoke rims with good king pins - so swapped that axle to truck but now were back to 5 spoke. Pulled the bearing/races out & then contacted local truck parts & got correct hub pilot hubs to get correct lugs/bolts to work with hub pilot rims. For rears we could not get new hubs - so I got 20 new hub pilot studs/nuts & drilled the hubs to match. What a chore

Were it my pass, i would've emptied the thing out completely, pulled the whole cab off and dumped that on the trailer and then put all the junk back in. You never know when you need a frame, even if it's rusty or crusty. In the first place, that steel is better than most of the junk at the steel rack unless you start adding 0s. Extra work, but frames are always worth having in the yard, cut up, neatly stacked etc. At my brother's farm, neither of us has mourned the lost space. They always come in handy for rigs or repairs.

With your EV projects...A bus conversion to hybrid diesel-Electric. or you could convert the bus into an RV also. You could power everything in this RV all night long from the batteries. Heat, Air Conditioning, TV, microwave, electric stove/oven, refrigerator, lights, computers, stereo, game consoles, and anything else you can thing of. No propane needed. Can you manually charge the batteries? Turn on the charging about 30 minutes before you arrive so that when you get to the camp, site the batteries are fully charged? I don't know how loud the generator is. If you arrive with the batteries low, will it disturb you or others around you when it turns on? Does the generator have a muffler? Because it's a hybrid, with larger batteries than any other RV. You only need to stop at an official RV sight when you need to pump out. No shore power needed.
