How many miles did you put on it and how much did you spend on maintenance ?

I spent under $100 on maintenance (rotate tires and new air filter). We put 29k miles on it

Sold my Model YLR after 2 years mostly due to the harsh ride quality. And, I've heard that the performance model ride is EVEN WORSE. I wouldn't recommend a Model Y until Tesla figures out how to make a car that does beat you up every time. I've heard that the 2023 models do have a "better" ride, but what does "better" really mean?

Fair point. The ride quality is quite harsh. We upgraded to Ford Explorer and the ride quality is night and day different. Still adjusting to the brakes on the new car, as I appreciate the regenerative braking, but I'll make that trade any day.

It's a night and day difference, my neighbor has a early 2020 MY LR and I took him along to pick up my 2023 LR MY. We used his car to get to the service center, and we could immediately tell the suspension was worlds better. Also NVH improved massively, at 80mph my car has slight wind noise nothing too bad, but his car was annoying. I also have a 2010 BMW E60 550i, that car is dead silent even at 80-90mph. I will be traveling a good amount the next 2-3 years and will be able to claim mileage depreciation, so the MY started to become a no-brainier (was also looking into a used BMW 530e)

I just test rode a 2023 Model Y LR and it was pretty quiet until I got to higher speeds. It's never going to be quiet as the Luxury cars but the technology, speed, and supercharge network is making me consider getting one. Plus, the recent price drop, $7,500 federal tax incentives, my states $2,000 state tax incentives, and saving on gas is kind of hard to ignore when shopping for a new car.

19" wheels is what you need. No issues and I live in Pothotle-monton. Anything bigger and you're in for a rough ride. As anyone with large rims and thin rubber would know.

No handle on the glove box ? What a horrible design decision. Why make a simple feature unnecessarily complicated? Makes zero sense. Thx for the video.

Yeah it actually was annoying. At first it’s cool because it’s electronic but after a while I started thinking “just give me a handle”… it’s so much easier

@@CodySteckRealEstateVideos It's a design decision to keep a thief from stealing your USB drive for sentry mode. More so now that the cabin camera is now active if a thief manages to break in. Complaining about buttons on a glovebox is on par with. Ranting on a phone without physical keys vs a phone that has one ( modern smartphones vs Blackberry)

I probably open my glove box 6 times a year when i get service on my ICE vehicle. There is so much storage now in car this is an after thought

Wait until you see the 2024 M3s. Now no "stalks" for blinkers, gearing (D, N, R), etc.

@@nevergone3424 I can only speak for myself. There is nothing in my glovebox worth stealing. And by making it difficult to steal will make the thief think there is something valuable in there and end up destroying your dash.

Probably not. That back row of seats does not look safe. Model Y with 5 seats is very tight with car seats in the back, can’t imagine how bad it would be with a few more seats.
