Join me on a gripping journey through the frozen wasteland of Rimworld's sea ice in this thrilling multi-part series. In the first 100 days, I faced the ultimate survival challenge as resources were scarce, and the harsh environment tested my mettle at every turn. With the game set to the highest difficulty level, I braved the cold and pushed myself to emerge victorious. It's actually normal route for every rimworld players😅 The more experienced you're, the more you want more than "vanilla gameplay". You start playing with mods, you start playing with the silly randy, start to play with the extreme biomes like the hottest desert or the coldest ice sheet. Or the combination of those 3. Mods, randy, extreme biome. Edit: oh and also, you want to make a settlement instead of rushing to build the spaceship to go to home. Rushing to go to home is such a newbie thing. But some newbie probably dont know how to get there and they never build spaceship until they reached the veterancy level 😅

Veequeue plays on 500% randy random which causes events to happen all the time. You're probably playing with a different storyteller and difficulty.

@asturias0267 Ambiguous Amphibian stayed solo for a long time on Cassandra Classic, relying on small raids and consistent Wanderer Joined events to keep his lone cannibal fed. So, it's a good tactic, for awhile at least.

the most unrealistic thing about this biome in Rimworld is that you can't MINE for FISH. ...by that I mean drill through the ice, and catch seafood

If you have a hole in the ice with water, you can fish in it, with Vanilla Expanded Fishing.

It's not unrealistic. 😅 It's called "ice sheet" BECAUSE IT IS ICE SHEET. That means, never melt in summer. That means the thickness is like.. can be 10 meters or even kilometers deep before you reach the liquid water. Idk in the USA unit(feet-inch). For you to drill the ice to fish, it needs to be on a FROZEN LAKE. And as the name says, it's a LAKE. In summer, it became a lake. That means the ice is thin. Like maybe only 20cm thick or something around that. Easy to drill the ice there Edit: not just frozen lake. It's also frozen river and frozen sea

You can build shelf outside to store food outdoor and use natural temperature to create an outdoor fridge 0 power required, food won't deteriorate even if they are outdoor, as long as it is on the shelves (not even need a roof)

bruh. this channel know more... also, you know there that outdoor so cold. soo...?? connect the dots there. the pawns need to be inside for the heat. edit: also, it's for the convenience&survivalism. when u play this kind of scenario, you need to RESEARCH ASAP. soo if you wasting your time to go outside and then inside to eat, then.. it's a big fatal mistake.

items still degrade when outdoors regardless of temperature....they must be roofed and walled in with a metal Vent or a door that is held open

If you don't use canibals there is a way to eat humans. Make human Meat. Feed it in a neutrians paste dispenser. Make loads of paste. Feed it to a cow or hen. Eat the egg or milk. While there are some losses, the conversion rate is pretty good, at least for cow. Hen have a problem that they over fill there bar

you can shove paste inside paste dispenser. Contents of new paste will be "Nutrient paste" and thus is not cannibal meal.

Gg! Now u can try vampire scenario on ice, its too hard, coz too random (u cant build smelter and generator without "steel ivent" like steel meteorit or ship parts, becuse u havent enough steel in beginning for this.), but u ve very nice food manegment - vampire can deathrest and dont waste food.

I think the Meteor landing is very OP on the ice map because: It creates Ground -> so far so boring Ground can be contaminated -> interessting The Tox-Gen gives Wastepacks -> very usefull Polluution can trigger infestations -> Foooooood So we can get free Energy and free Meat At least so far i know Ice dont count as solid Ground and because of it it cant trigger infestations But now we have solid Ground in the Ice would can trigger it, if this is not the case taht means you cant get it because of the Map Typ And this means more Fun You can polluut the entire Map and welcome new Raiders with fresh and cool Acidic Smog while you can use Pollution stimulus and speed overthe Map I hope it works out and have Fun

I had a REALLY good Sea Ice game once with a pure cannibalism ideology and I found something of an exploit? if you can call it that? Where if you get one of those "tribe worship a computer terminal" events you can just... stay there indefinitely and keep killing them over and over as they reinforce. Literally hundreds of dead guys and they won't rot in the ice, so you can bring a few of your colonists to butcher them into pure meat and haul your full carry limit back, then mash the human meat with hydroponic rice for human meat Pemmican that will last LITERAL years from the thousands you've made.

Hey Veequeue! Idk if this will fall on deaf ears but i love your videos, the only issue is that the sound mixing on your voice is very off, the base makes it hard for me listen more than 5 mins, i can imagine its a simple equalizer thing to balance it back out. Its disappointing but your voice shakes my desk and rings in my ears, Ive equalized my computer as much as i can but its even hard to hear what you're saying over the base effect on your voice. i would love to watch more but it is terrible to listen to!
