The 20$/month gym had amazing equipment and was huge. I would pay double or triple the price if they put more work into maintenance and cleanliness. The only downside will be the sheer amount of new costumers because of you, Will. The expensive gym with only one rack or bench press would be an absolute no-go for me.

We have lots of great value gyms in my country, €20 a month (€25 if gym has a pool) which are all very high quality and clean gyms. But in Europe, fitness has always been our lifestyle. So I guess gyms in other regions are more niche so they charge more.

There are cheaper ones, but I prefer a membership kind of deal. Anyways! Great content like always, definitely not down for the $265/month gym with one bench rack. That's wild. And you look amazing!

To me the expensive gym just isn’t worth it at all. Maybe it’s because I’m into powerlifting and there’s only one squat rack and bench, no deadlift platform, no chalk and it doesn’t seem like the type of gym where you can grunt. But for people who want a fancy place to train that’s clean, quiet and modern, I can definitely see it being appealing. Different needs and wants I guess

Awesome topic! I was traveling a fair amount pre-pandemic, and I really enjoyed looking for a gym with plates, barbells and racks so I can get through some squats or deadlifts - sometimes that's hard to find. Some of my favorite places were really inexpensive (shout out to The Colosseum Gym in Columbia MD - $10 guest pass, super nice and they had everything). Once I shelled out to go to a really fancy place - then they told me I couldn't deadlift in my socks... I'm pretty sure putting chalk on my hands would have caused an incident. So yeah, price is not the factor to go by for finding a good gym...

A gym is a place to go, and workout, lift weight. I dont care if the weights are brand new, or rusted and old. still the same weight. Its like LifeTime fitness where I live around Chicago, although its a commercial gym, its crazy expensive, and they have a barber there, and everything you would want... they also have an outdoor pool that is heated 24/7 365 days a year... but costs like 250 a month. Full pool, wet and dry sauna, every free weight or machine you need, cycle room is weirdly dark blue just like that one, also a large Astro turf area for stretching, weight sleds, tire flips. Honestly amazing for $20. One of the two I use closes at 10 pm because they don’t meet the foot traffic requirement for 24 hour operation, I go there because it’s typically less packed. The one near UCF is always busy, and thus is 24/7. Hittin the hot tub for no reason at all at 2 am is great. Both locations I go to they literally are always cleaning, vacuuming, very tidy. The first one was definitely more of a cardio gym, can’t believe they only had one bench press (without safety bars) and squat rack

Man, 20 dollars is double than what I pay for my gym in Argentina. For the equivalent in pesos of $8.33 Us Dollars you can go 5 days a week (Monday to friday) to a pretty complete and nice gym.

You are lucky to have that gym to go to, the only gym near me costs 40 euros monthly and it isn't anything fancy

Gym not open Saturday and Sunday???? 2 rest days in a row is too much

@@percfiend69206 Yes it' true, you have to adjust your routine to that. But the reason for that is that the gym is run by a couple and they need to rest on weekends.

If you lived in LA you would probably make at least double if not way more.

I trained at this gym in 2018-19. I don't know why it had such low stars, it was a popular and good gym facility when I went there. Some people in LA have too high of expectations.

Yo! I used to go to that cheap gym! One of the greatest gym experiences I've had (probably 10-20 gyms experience?). Honestly, USA in general so good for gyms because they have those studio floors. I used to breakdance, and finding those spots is really good because I need to practice. I've literally stopped dancing in Australia bc all the local gyms within 20m dont have a floor I can use.

FYI 1:45 these can be helpful for individuals in wheelchairs or who have no/limited movement of their lower extremity so they can still get cardio in and build their upper body.

for $270 month (which is £240 over here) I'd expect a fantastic pool and spa facilities. Oh, and def. more than one bench in a space like that. They should have 3 or 4 of them. Seems more cardio oriented
