While I have a very small place in the discussion of middle-east tension right now, I will say how profoundly impacted I was by the attacks made on October 7th by Hamas on Israeli (Jewish) communities. Many of my closest friends I grew up with and their families, are Jewish.
I don't understand the world right now and all of the hate towards different groups of people, but this video is an attempt to encourage others who may not know much about another group's traditions, language, customs, etc., to learn more. It's easy to hate. The real power is in love, compassion, and understanding.

Old Hungarian script, I've never seen anyone (non native Hungarian speaker, most of natives don't know it too) who knows it, that would be fun to learn it or even teach it to others with mnemonics

Maybe you can try Arabic next time and you can also maybe try to hear the Arabic narrative to learn about what happened in Palestine from 1948 and before it . Interesting fact: the first letter of Arabic alphabet is also (alef) and has the same phonatic

Your son is an absolute doll! Languages are fascinating. Don't apologize for teaching it a 5 year old's level. That's what I needed. It was cool looking up Psalm 119 and seeing the names of the letters. God bless you and your family!

Hi, This really isn't about the alphabet, but speed reading. My daughter, granddaughter, and I have all been speed readers. Even J. Saul and Grishham were to slow for us in printing off their books. BUT! Ahhhhh I get in trouble reading business email's. I miss a lot of info. because my mind is trained not to look at different words, this is my only con of speed reading. lol ** I didn't want to attend some of those meetings anyway!

Arabic. You see, Arabic is the only language that has a legend about why the language even has a script. Look up "abjad, hawwaz story". It is a very logical and beautiful language. Very poetic. Many Arabs are poetic too, which is natural for them. But when we translate it, we become amazed. I remember an Iraqi friend talking about his cousin's car. I asked what the does. He said, he lives by it. It is just non-chalantly said, to mean he is a taxi driver. We would think this is poetic talk, but it's just common usage for them. So poetic.
