For future reference!!! When cleaning the balls off of the now-cooled sculptures, dump them into a large cardboard box with the top open before you spray as it’ll give you 4 walls to contain the orbees as opposed to the to them going everywhere!! Loved the sculptures in this🔥!!

Hoping he'll see this since he replied here... There's a possible HEALTH RISK if the OP is correct. Copy/pasted: @robertlapointe4093 5 months ago Aesthetically pleasing results. I did notice, while the bronze alloy was melting, that there were some suspicious fumes coming from the crucible. I did a quick search on SAE 660 bronze and found that is not phosphor bronze (which normally contains about 94.8% copper, 5% tin and 0.2% phosphorus and is used mostly in electrical contacts and springs), but rather an alloy usually used in bearings, which contains a bit of lead (6 to 8%) and zinc (1 to 2%) in addition to the copper and tin (and no more than a trace of phosphorus). I suspect that the fumes were most likely zinc oxide, which is fairly toxic. See the Wikipedia entry on "metal fume fever" for more info. Might want to take your forge outside the next time, particularly if you are melting an alloy with higher amounts of zinc (such as brass).

Hey Nick - That was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!! I had an idea: next time you do these sculptures, try sand blasting them and see what kind of effect you get then. Also, trying using another type of melted metal as well, like Aluminum or Brass. The other thing these reminded me of are those sculptures you see when someone pours liquid Aluminum down an Ant colony hole, then dig them up again. Have you seen those? This is VERY close to that type of thing. Incredible idea Nick - keep those great experiments coming!! You're gonna make it to 1M soon ... I know it, :-) Kevin (USA)

There’s a dude that melts aluminum and he pours them into fire, ant mounds, and then digs up the aluminum after a little while. It’s very interesting. Reminds me of your sculptures in the Orby’s.

The last piece is my favourite because it looks like something from a science fiction film. Thank you for sharing ❤

Thanks for taking us on another adventure! I love those blackened Orbeez. They look like obsidian. The last piece is my favorite. It looks like a tree or Gossamer (the red monster) from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.

A similar technique can be used with liquid hard candy and ice. Used it to make "coral" for an ocean themed pumpkin carving contest. Love the look of the orbeez effect!

That's so cool like a honeycomb on LSD XD Also I love how legendary orbeez are, that melted medal literally just turned them black, they didn't pop or melt and still bounced when they fall, that's so awesome

I like the tall thin-ish one, with the natural metal showing.

Nick , when the metal starts setting in the crucible , just put it back in the furnace and let it melt again . also please do this outside away from flamable things such as plastic buckets and wood buildings , this is incredible dangerous . but love your work . i just want you to stay safe so you can continue to bring us amazing art
