Agree.. keep it...the do whatever you need it do to do. On my 3rd F350, 2 6.0 before my cureent 17 F350 CC LB 4wd. Some diet work and upgrade of some parts...great mpg gains as my DD.

I agree, you own it and bought it for its capabilities, its not like you drive it around as a commuter never utilizing its towing or hauling abilities. Also its not some rust bucket or ever lived in that environment that can degrade a vehicle in not all that many years as that sure can't be said of vehicles in states that see any winter salted roads. About the fuel mileage tests, be sure to figure out a way of calculating the best you can for the odometer difference between the stock diameter tires vs the 35 inch tires because if that isn't calculated it puts the larger sized tire into a bad light even more so than what they actually are for a fuel mileage penalty.

I agree at the cost of midsize and half ton trucks I would go right to the Superduty as well to your point you can’t beat the capability and why pay for something that doesn’t have the capability that you need when you need it!
