I can totally relate to how you feel about reuining Keto Chow for yourself. I love your honesty especially when you stated "I want meat" and not made up some excuse to end the challenge. For me a 2 day fast is best sardines or eggs doesn't matter my ketones rise and that's my goal. I am not doing sugar of any kind so Keto Chow is out for me I know they have the non-sugar version now but I am really trying to stick to whole animal products at this time.

I wonder if you would get as good of numbers if you combined the fasts, like the egg fast for breakfast, the sardine challenge or Keto Chow for lunch and the carnivore fast for dinner. I would probably be craving some veggies. Your numbers are very good!

I have never gotten "brain clarity" from eating keto. Ever. I always live in a constant state of brain fog. Got a slight boost in energy, but great weight loss.

I have tried all 3 challenges with you. Despite preferring the taste of Keto Chow the most, I found I was the hungriest doing it. I think the easiest is the egg fast, although I had no trouble with the sardines and lost the most weight on the sardine challenge. As someone else suggested, I wonder if the results would be the same if we had a single day of each randomly.

I also gave up on the third day of my Keto Chowllenge. I don't know how people do 100 days. I also kind of ruined eggs for myself doing one too many egg fasts, so I'm happy to stick with one keto chow a day.

The other thing I love about Keto Chow is how her store is in that you can cook with it too. For instance, I've made blueberry muffins with it and I love how they have that huge database of recipes on their website. I still need to try all three new flavors. I'm sad birthday cake is sold out but I'm hoping it returns because when it does, I will definitely be getting some. I'm excited about the vanilla cream and strawberry cream also and I have yet to try the chocolate core with Stevia, which sounds super yummy. I like using coconut oil with the original chocolate or coconut oil as the fat it's super good. Earlier that was supposed to read the other thing. I love about to go chow is how versatile it is in that you can cook with it as well as having as a shake or make it into ice cream

I noticed that your key tone monitor, or the talking one kind of like my talking glucose monitor. Maybe you mentioned what kind it is but I was curious. As a blind person stuff with accessible features catches my eye, or rather my ear lol also, I can relate about loving Keto Chow, but also not wanting to have it all the time. I had my wisdom teeth out. I ate, mostly keto chow for many many days during the first week of recovery. I was grateful for Keto Chow Then but at the same time I was also craving savory things because normally I have keto chow a few times a week, but not for every meal but it is super delicious though. I need to try the recipe that I've seen online for making ice cream without an ice cream maker, as I don't have one at the moment. Also, the chef maker sounds really cool, your steaks hundred delicious That was supposed to read that your steak sounds delicious.

Thanks for sharing this. I lasted 1.5 days. My stomach wasn't happy with me, I think it was too much dairy in a day. (Dairy can be inflammatory for me).

Steaks kick you out of ketosis? I had no idea. I thought it was carbs. I always assumed that if you are eating a zero carb or low carb, that your body stays in ketosis. No wonder you all wear CGM's. You seriously can't just trust the process. I definitely learned something new today.

Protein does iliicit a glucose response, albeit a smaller one than carbs. Eat enough protein in one meal, and it will kick you out of ketosis. This is a GOOD thing, according to Prof. Bart Kay. Our bodies are not designed to be in permanent ketosis, we are designed to cycle in and out of ketosis on a more or less daily basis. Permanent ketosis can cause electrolyte issues and upset your body's hormone balance.

Something I heard Laura Spath say the other day was that she believes the reason these trendy fasts are so successful is more because of what you don't eat than what you do eat. Makes sense. If all we are eating is sardines or eggs, we're not eating other things that maybe aren't the best for us. At least, I think it could be true for me.

I must say that as much as I LOVE ice cream, I think that if I had it as the only food for several days - I would not be able to look at it for months after! I don’t blame you at all for craving steak! That and a nice big lobster tale would definitely be calling to me. 😂

I have been doing keto chow and butter in my coffee for breakfast, beef and salt for lunch and keto chow ice cream for dinner and I can’t see why it wouldn’t be sustainable for a long time lol. I haven’t done keto chow as a regular shake at all… I like it Frozen or hot in coffee.

I love blue cheese. I had it in my burgers yesterday 😋 ever since I did the sardine challenge, my ketones are running from .7 to 1.1 but I can't seem to get my glucose levels out of the 100's 😢. I'm 55, was 292 in May.. not sure if that was my high... But I'm down to 262.. 🎉. But it's slow going now... Any suggestions on how to lower my glucose #'s??

It's super high. should be 80ish. 120 is after eating. Fasting. Do a 3 day, and then 18/6 intermittant. .

I started out with my blood glucose in the 100s a couple years ago when I started keto. It took me over a year to get it down, but I was so obese that scales would not even work for me. So keep going, keep your carbs as low as you can stand (mine run around 20 a day), eat protein with moderate fat and some veggies if you want. I have lost over 160 pounds now and have kept it off. Still more to lose, but this has become a way of life eating for me, so keep on keeping on. I will add that I saw my biggest drop in blood sugar when I quit dairy for 90 days. Painful, as I like cheese, but added it back in small amounts does not bother me now.

I love eating a protein ice cream for a meal. Also love the convenience of Keto Chow, however, the flavors just don’t do it for me. You have mentioned new flavors during this challenge. What are your top four or so flavors? I made the mistake of ordering an entire bag of vanilla and ended up tossing 1/2 the bag. Terrible waste but it was just awful.

I hope my experience can help. Did you try it with salted butter? I find I prefer the stronger sweeter flavors or salty sweet flavors...I don't like choc pb much until I added extra pb keto chow and a few drops stevia - with salted butter 4tbl. Choc toffee is good, choc mint is good but needed to be thicker -I prefer more minty too (I've made a warm KC drink with brewed peppermint tea for liquid with the salted butter and the blender ice cream with the warm strong tea butter and blended with ice ... my ice cream maker doesn't do well and not purchasing a creami at this point. Any less flavourful options just don't work long term for me... snickerdoodle, vanilla, chocolate(they changed formula and tastes bitter to me now), banana, strawberry, the coffee flavors, chai tea, are all fails for me. I like choc toffee, choc pb with extra pb and salt, raspberry cheescake occasionally, pistachio occasionally, and pecan sticky bun my current flavorite. Ordered the vanilla cream to try as it would be nice to have a more basic base to add mix ins to but would never buy the big bag. Choc toffee does well in the big bag but I've noticed that the flavor doesn't seem to work quite as well likely due to ingredients settling differently or my humid environment causing issues especially if not using very frequently. Don't let it get hot in the mailbox either I've had them go bitter/ flavor change due to the heat. With my adrenals being so stressed and body needing more sodium I only like the drinks - with 1tsp daily minerals and 3-4tbl salted butter from Costco with a daily drink otherwise flavor is flat to me -It ends up being 26-28 oz of liquid. Hope she replies to you

@nadogrl @rikwen96 Creamy Tomato Basil Keto Chow Ice Cream with Balsamic Vinegar Reduction 2 tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp dried basil 1/8 tsp dried oregano ¼ tsp garlic paste or 1 cloved roasted garlic (I make my own fermented garlic paste) 10 grams (abt 1 tbsp) unflavored beef collagen (I have vital proteins brand so this is 1 scoop) 3.75 grams (abt 1.5 tsp) unflavored beef gelatin (I have vital proteins brand so this is ½ scoop) ¼ tsp tara gum (can be left out if you don’t have this) 2 oz mascarpone 1 tbsp butter 1 serving Keto Chow Creamy Tomato Basil soup enough water to make 1 (16 oz) creami pint Add 5-6 oz hot water to your blender or creami pint (if using an immersion blender. and only making 1 pint). Add in the mascarpone, butter, basil, oregano, garlic to the water. Then put in the Keto Chow Creamy Tomato Basil soup. Add the collagen, gelatin, and tara gum (if using) on top of that. Blend thoroughly. Top off with enough water to bring total volume to 16 oz/1 pint. Blend again. If you didn’t blend it in the creami pint, pour it from your blender into the pint container. Pre-chilling it in the fridge will help minimize how much of a center mound there is when you freeze it vs putting it directly into the freezer. If you are using a compressor or freezer bowl style ice cream maker then pre-chill in the fridge before making your ice cream. If using the ninja creami, I run it through the lite ice cream cycle twice, and if needed 1 respin. I use the gelatin and collagen more for my joints, but it also gives a creamy consistency to the ice cream even without the tara gum. Balsamic Vinegar Reduction Simmer 1 cup of balsamic vinegar in a small pot until reduced by ½. Let cool until it is just warm instead of hot. Pour into condiment bottle to dispense. This works well if you want to serve it as a hot soup also.

I don't get why you are pleased when your ketones are higher or highest right after your morning coffee with MCT powder. If it's MCT8:10 its getting right into your portal vein and liver and getting spun up into ketones, right? So are you seeking ketones for their own sake, ketones as evidence of weight loss, ketones to keep insulin down, something else?
