My Dad, who made String instruments always dyed a bunch of wooden tooth pix and plugged the holes, then sanded and covered with wood filler.

I am a Director at an early childhood center. We use lots of "loose parts" and "real items" in our program. I could go CRAZY in that thrift store!! What a treasure!

This was one of my FAVORITES of your videos! There are so many KZfaqrs doing Dollar Tree hauls that I'm just kind of tired of that. I do need help thinking about how to DIY things from thrift stores. I feel better about where my $$$ are going, since many or most are non-profit. Win-win.

I like the dark stain on the small table but not the hardware. The wavy glass tile would also be lovely decoupaged. Moose is always a welcome sight in your videos, he's adorable!

I think you should keep that side table the way it is. You can maybe change the knob by painting it or replacing it. Adds color in that corner.

Whether you sand it or leave it depends on the effect you want with all the light colors in the pieces and on the wall. IMO, sanding would make it blend in with everything around it. Leaving it dark makes it stand out. 🙂

I was thinking that glass bowl was too expensive for a thrifted item but it has a lot of workmanship into it. Love the colour you spray painted it in. It just elevated it. You had some good finds.That was not a wasted journey at all. Leave the colour of the table.

Very cool thrifting stores!! I'm not usually a fan of 70's furniture but that round end table is super cool!! I would definitely paint it to go with my decor. I would love if MN had a craft thrift store!! A person could diy those Disney items using PVC pipes. Great for hair and garden tools!

Thank you for not painting the little clock. It's Walnut. I typically do not like watching thrifting videos, but for some reason I chose to watch yours. I'm so happy I did. Thank you for mixing it up with what you did with each find instead of just you slowly walking down each aisle picking up stuff and putting it back until you find something good. Next time we head to KC on an IKEA trip, I will have to check out Scraps KC. That store looks like a blast to visit.

I love the way you find something then show us immediately what you transform it into. Other channels show the whole haul and then transform which is not as interesting to watch. I like your round end table. It is interesting how you say " grab" all the time. Not something we say where I live. We say "pick -up" or "buy"

Thrifting is my favorite thing my mother took me thrifting when I was a child she redid things reuse things and made them look brand new again we always had unique different clothes to wear pants shoes my mother decorated her house with it beautifully so I do mine also carrying on the tradition I tell my girls let somebody else pay that full price

We just have one habitat for humanity where I live. The prices are not low ,it is the highest priced thrift store in our area furniture and all

Here in Canada, we have thrift stores called 'Value Village'. We call it 'VV Boutique', lol. They are awesome! It's like the 'Salvation Army' or 'Amity" stores. You'd love them. I would blow far too much money in that craft store, it's like walking into heaven!

I love the Habitat Restore! Mine is small, but I've never walked out empty-handed. They have a 25 cent room - frames, glassware, books and random things. I recently stumbled on a BRAND NEW island light fixture retailing for $800 for $50! I bought it and I don't even have an island, but it was gorgeous and 94% off retail!

How fun! When Alain and I get to take a trip home (It's been a while because of Covid), we always take at least one side trip, and I always make some time to do a day of thrifting or yard sales wherever we find ourselves at! We went to Pittsburg a few years ago, but our schedule was so packed I didn't get to shop/ "Going" with you today made up for that! Thanks Liz! As always very entertaining - and interesting.

I absolutely loved that piece of wavy glass, the sort of light sea-glass color that you put in your kitchen. I could see so many uses for it right away, and now I WANT some. I love the end table the dark color it is because the room is so light anyway that it made a nice dark accent piece besides being useful.

I think the dark wood table is perfect as is. And the glass dish was worth $4 once you added the sea glass paint. The paint made it look way more expensive. And yes, I do love the thrift videos.

I always like the way you pick out an item & then show how you're redoing/styling it. I like that table just how it is. We have a home recycling store kind of like Habitat, but ours costs waaay more for most things.

We’re moving so it’s been a couple weeks since I last watched KZfaq and today I’m taking a break for some Liz Fenwick therapy. Love your videos and , can-do personality. Such an inspiration at this kinda low point in my life. PS the move is definitely a good thing, it’s just moving that is really a drag . At 28 moves across the US over 37 years of manage, hopefully this is the settle-down-happily-ever-after move.

Ummmmm, excuuuuuse me…a craft-supply thrift store?? Why do I have to drive 12 hours to get there? 😭😭 Liz, I love your thrifting videos for lots of reasons, but here are my two favorites: 1. You explain why buying a piece is worth it. I’ve bought things at a TS, only to discover it later at a big box store for the same price! 2. You either tell us what we could do to update the piece (i.e. the lamps) or you buy it and SHOW us, right in the same video! Liz, you’re a class act, young lady. Thank you for what you do. ❤️❤️

I think you should KEEP the dark stain of the side table. It looks lovely the way you're using it. I really loved the glass vase and I think you should find a way to use the top. The whole thing as it was originally kind of reminded me of a beehive.
