Okay, so here's a really passive video idea that you can do long term a.k. in your free time. For example turn 1000$ into the 25k needed for day trading. Through a safe trading strategy of making the initial 1000 dollar's 3 percent each day. And continue doing so, doubling each month. FYI It's just an idea without me researching into it. I have no idea if it'll work tho 😄😞

What will happen if no one wants to buy the NFTs you bought from someone else? NFTs don't generate passive income or grow in value either so it's not an investment. What's the plan for ROI? It just seems like a Ponzi scheme where the people who get into this at last get screwed if they can't get rid of the NFTs they have. Not to mention it can be screenshot and used by anybody without paying a dime and nothing you can do about it since copyright laws don't apply.

And that's exactly the problem, in my opinion. The art you make shouldn't have anything to do with who you are, how much people like you, and how popular you are in the online spaces. It should be exclusively based on how great the art you produce is, and only that. NFTs were supposed to be a means for the average person to profit from their art, not a way for popular and/or rich people to get even richer & more popular... For instance, I hate being active on social communities, having forced and superficial conversations with some random dudes over on twitter. And that shouldn't stand in my way to being a successful artist, since I'm already a really good 3D Artist. NFTs success should be based solely on the art itself, not on how much time & effort you spend pushing your collections and artwork into people's faces over on Twitter and Discord...

@@Mitroiul but that’s not how the world works. You can create art that you believe is better than Picasso but it won’t sell for as much. Or you could have the greatest pizza in the world but if you don’t market / promote your business effectively then you won’t be successful.

@@DarbsPlaysGolf And I completely agree with that. But the marketing NFTs require is plain stupid. It's basically just hyping up your stuff without any real value, you just have to put out content constantly indifferent of how qualitative it is. Social media is a place where quantity is valued more than quality. I for instance can't keep up with the social media needs if I also want to create art I'm proud of. It takes anywhere between weeks and months to create the content for one single post, while being successful on social media requires you to post at least once a couple of days. And you also have to do this shit that I hate so much, where you have to talk about what you do like you're the best thing that happened to the world. While I'm like - "Nah man, I just made a 3D render. I can't act like I've just produced the best artwork in the world and hype it up like crazy". I personally just wish art & NFTs were more about how great your art is from a technical stand-point, rather than making some monkey illustration in 25 minutes and hyping the shit out of it.

HOPEFULLY it never goes mainstream. When mainstream audiences get involved, they make dumb financial decisions and then blame NFTs as a technology for their own failure. It's best it remains niche.

Nfts are a scam. They're comparing it to rare collectibles like Monalisa which is stupid. It's a Ponzi scheme imo. Once you can't find a seller to get rid of your NFT that you bought from someone else you'll be met with a hole in your wallet and that'll happen eventually. The last to adopt get screwed basically. Hope they'll have fun with their overpriced JPGs that everyone can screenshot. But it's not all bad, you can do money laundering with nfts and probably even get away with it.

we may do another NFT project - haven't decided yet. there were many unknowns in the NFT space earlier this year... even jonathan nash who i first collab'd with earlier this year and wasn't very well known just had a piece sell yesterday for 47 ETH. many unknowns have been able to join the community and become full-time NFT artists, so it depends on a variety of factors and comes down to the individual.

just about every video i do has someone asking about taxes. it’s simple: if i make money, i pay taxes. i also pay an accountant to tell me what to pay.

agreed- but i would look at lower-cost alternatives (solana, hen, etc.) and hopefully these high fees will be eliminated w/ ETH 2.0 (we can hope).

1) i think a flat rate is generally better for most creators 2) if view-based model, it's usually within the first 30-60 days. 3) depends on your audience, but maybe $15-$30/thousand views it's generally easier to just agree to a $500 or $1,000 or whatever fee for the vid. takes the pressure off trying to get as many views as possible.
