Botan's is not the best kebab in Liverpool, you have been misinformed! You need to try TAJ on Lodge Lane or Friends Kebab House, but the queue at TAJ's speaks for itself, a local delicacy.

It’s entirely possible it’s loading only between certain times. I’m assuming he’s there not between those times. Knowing most local councils if he had been parking illegally as much as you think, he would be bankrupt by now!

@@bertalach he frequently parks illegally. Double yellows, disabled bays, “car share only” a few weeks ago in Manchester. He often puts his table close to where he’s parked, so he could move it if a traffic warden comes. I check on Google street view, but unfortunately it’s not possible to see the sign for this place. Most loading bays are restricted throughout the day, and only become derestricted in the evening. In this video he blatantly parks in a space reserved for a car club. At time 2:57 he says “we’re int van club now”, knowing full well he shouldn’t be parked there. The impression I got was he was feeling harassed. I suspect the chef and the other dude standing to the side made him uncomfortable. Despite his cheerfulness at the start, he just wasn't feeling it today. Better luck next time.

Danny you need to try Kiran tandoori in waterfoot rossendale. The food there is epic. Their mixed kebab like this one but you get a nan with it that they make themselves.

I have been away from Liverpool for 16 years and I can honestly say that I never noticed that business there in Berry street, they may had been located elswhere before then and I should know as I used to work supplying take aways, Chip shops and restuarants, I used to have the odd drink in a pub called the Black Horse and Rainbow in Berry street just up the road from where you were and there was a brilliant Kebab shop just opposite that pub, looks like Liverpool has changed a lot!

My mate used to rave about that place. I tried it and didn't like it at all.😢I took him to my local place just 10 mins away. Hannah's on Park Road in Liverpool. I ordered him the Full House.£12. Try Omars in Accrington for a turkish kebab, comes in a tray with chicken kofte lamb side sallad chips with a turkish wrap in a heat proof bag, its unreal been my goto for 10 years most fridays and its about 7.50 and its packed. They do their own chillie sauce too that comes actually warm like a tomatoe pureebased warm chillie sauce. Cant rate the place enough

another good example that the most popular almost never is the best one, the real goat is probably a pretty unknown little kebab takeaway somewhere in a little side alley. generally people have no clue what they are talking about lol, here where i live there's a kebab which hasn't upped its price since more than 20 years (it's about 4-5 bucks cheaper than other kebabs), ingredients are always super fresh, portions are huge and the two guys behind the corner are lovely chaps...yet it's pretty unknown.

The actual best kebab and best donner meat anywhere is a few yards away from botan called hot chillis. The tahini os spiced with what they mix in with the lamb to make the donner. None of that generic shitty grey pork donner meat. All lamb.

Kebab meat (lamb shish, donner and/or kofte) and salad, drizzled with lemon juice, together with their tahini sauce and homemade chilli sauce is the way to try Botans. No need for chips and in my opinion, no need for the bread (which looked dry).

Right I eat there a lot. They can definately do better. The meat is fit. I agree the salad was missing but he ordered a meal without salad. The salad has a lovely pickled cabbage and they have a house chilli sauce which is like a think soup which they make each day. The guy stood outside the shop for protection only. The chips could be a little better but if that was served up better it would have been a 8.3 imo
