Not far from Preston, in the centre of Lancaster is a burger van called Bills Burgers. Bill and his son have been serving great food for over 30 years now. Competing against the big-name burger chains in the area. The reason for their success is serving quality food at a great price. This is right up your street. No nonsense bacon burger. Absolutely delicious. Proper burger van onions on top. Must check it out Danny. People like this deserve a place on your channel.

it's a little chippy like this that we had all over the UK in the 70s when I was a child. I can still remember walking just down the road to our local Fish & Chip shop, the fish was dumped on the fries splashed with salt and 'Vinegar" and wrapped with a sheet of white paper and newspaper, the most recent edition date indicated the popularity of the place. That fish looked delicious...

I like and prefer cash only for two reasons. It helps the food establishment save the surcharge credit cards charge . That helps them turn the savings onto us and we pay as we go its better financially

There's a Queen Vic in Chorley and their portion sizes are even bigger. 1 fish and chips served 3 of us!! LOVE a Butter pie, you can't beat them. A good chippy is Skippers in Euxton, its expensive compared as a small fish on its own is over a fiver. But the nicest fish ive had!!

Get yourself to Evans chippy in west Preston (Lea). This is the cheapest and best in Preston - £4:70 for small fish, chips and peas (the portion size is not small and is filling!)

As a prestonian I'm sad you didn't have the butter pie. It's a must have and is only available in some places in Lancashire. The best chippy in Preston is either West End or Bill and Ben's chippy. Ziba does really nice garlic bread with cheese. Greekouzina is the best place for gyros in Preston.

Need to try Humblebeez Blackpool. Literally the best burgers in the north west. Do great loaded boxes with steak. Restaurant quality 👌

Doing a tour of Preston, i highly recommend to go to Goosnargh chippy, just a few miles down road frommPreston.

there was a bakers opposite the prison in preston ,this was in the mid 80s , i worked at walsall conduits , the bakers though , 25 p a pie , for a quid my work dinner was a steak pudding a meat and tater , an egg custard and a butter pie ,i guess its no longer running the bakers , but it kept me fed and strong for years

You're right by all the halls of residence. My son went to Uni there and he said everyone uses it but he also said you should have had a burger! Preston is a good place it's very good value in and around the centre. But yeah they have the perfect pitch there for all the students. Nice and clean though!
