When you see what Bethesda gives for those underwhelming mods, I don't want to imagine how much they would charge for sontent like Beyond Skyrim

I get that realistically this is something Bethesda's had to have been "working" on for a while, but I still find it a bit convenient they release the "new and improved" anniversary edition when Nexus is nuking itself over legacy content.

Whose brilliant idea was it to create a “summon zombie” spell? As if we didn’t have enough ways to summon a corpse in this game.

the creation club would benefit from actual DLC sized mods for example the Beyond Skyrim projects.

Kind of disappointing that this is the best Bethesda could come up with for the 10 year anniversary of their most successful game of all time. They could at least make it free for current owners of Special Edition or at least give a discount. I also hope that they dont remove the Special Edition from the store like they did with the Legendary Edition.

What strikes me is that it's lazy. There are very few new assets. There are no new voiced lines, only generic repurposed lines from the original game. There are no branching, story-driven quests, just fetch quests and dungeons.

The “house” you get from Dead Man’s Dread made me really excited but then when I got to it it never cleaned up and it was absolutely useless. I wish you could disable creation club stuff like you can mods. I hate being bombarded with the dumbass quests the second I leave Helgen

The problem with CC content os is that it's all given to you at level 10, clogging your quest log, sometimes it breaks the lore and it gives way too many ridiculously overpowered rewards, including the Dwarven horse which I love. I'll probably just disable it all in the next save.

I was surprised by how extensive Saints and Seducers actually was content wise. Even days after completing the primary quest of the DLC, the one shown in the video, I still managed to find minor side quests related to it. For example - I found a cave down in the south eastern part of the map that had a lot of different animals in it fighting each other. After the confusion wore off I noticed that a Druid use to live there and that he had used magic to make all the animals around him docile and live with him peacefully until he died - you find his corpse on a ceremonial-like alter in the middle of the cave along with his staff that can charm animals. Finding his journel I discovered that he use to be an Oblivion Walker that traveled to the Shivering Isles in his youth and brought back an artifact with him which he hid within the cave. The Mad Wizard from the main Saints and Seducers quest was his friend and was trying to travel to the Shivering Isles to find the items needed to reveal where he hid the artifact but went mad with power instead. The artifact turned out to be a unique Warhammer made of both Amber and Madness Ore, with a unique enchantment on it.

We all know the upgrade won’t be worth it. All the mods were too overpriced to begin with. Hell, why not release Fallout 3 or New Vegas? or anything else but Skyrim again.

I have never once bought anything from the CC in Skyrim or Fallout, most times I don't even bother if it's free. The majority of it is utter s**t & the small amount that's decent is overpriced, seems many others feel the same way.....

I never really like the creation club in the first place since the people who make great mods doesn't get the recognition that they deserve.

Honestly i would have been perfectly fine with the creation club if instead of 20 minute quests and random items that cost 10 bucks it had dlc like quests, sort of like project aho or the forgotten city.

Being someone who grew up with the Playstation version of Skyrim, the creation club was my only option for any substantial mods. At least it had a place in subverting the stupid limitations that Sony implemented. The free mods you could get on Playstation amounted to visual tune ups, bug fixes, and generally ugly textures tacked on to preexisting models to pass as new armor sets. There were some valiant attempts to make meaningful and expansive mods, but they were few and far between and had a lot of problems. Unless you grew up with Playstation like me, you couldn't understand the joy of saving up enough allowance to buy the Devine Crusader's armor creation or the Saints and Seducers creation.

Ps4 players kinda benefit from creation club, our mod selection is pretty limited, we cannot get new armour and new weapons and stuff, the game scripts wont allow it.

News flash: people already did or didn’t try these lol. The new version of Skyrim just come with them for free, so doubt there will be many complaints then.

I personally loved dead mans dread. Im a huge pirate guy and i love the outfits, sword and even having a ship as a home is fantastic.

I’ll say this in Creation Club’s defense… They at least tried to give Jyggalag (who’s now a separate Daedric Prince from Sheogorath after Oblivion and should have had his own Daedric quest in the vanilla Skyrim game) some presence in Skyrim… Even if it was just his sword…

I liked Saints and Seducers, but I hit a bug where after going to find and kill Thoron, he actually never spawned in and I no-clipped to grab the Sword of Jyggalag which immediately ended the quest. 🙃

The Elemental arrow pack is not so bad, and the mage set with the spells is a good add on in my opinion...

I like the Goblins, I like the pet Spider, I liked the Crusader Armour. But I’m not touching the Creation Club ever again

The creation club content is seemingly focused more on flashy stuff such as new and interesting weapons and armour. There is no new actual dialogue and EVERY quest starts with 'it's all in this note'.

To be fair some creation club things are useful like gold hills plantation especially if you’re playing on survival mode.

I wouldn't pay 1 penny for everything in the CC just based on principle alone.

What's even better is these mods can't use any of the addons, extensions, plugins or resources that make the most extensive mods. No script extenders, no new animations, no jc containers, no BAT files, it's whack

There's actually a follow-up quest in Saints & Seducers where a named Golden Saint messages you after defeating the final boss and has several outcomes based on how you respond to her request.

There’s some dlc sized fully fleshed out mods that I’d of gladly paid for. None of them are on the creation club

I remember playing something incredibly similar to the first two mods. (The zombie one, and the pirate one.) I believe they were either ported, or improved uppon for free. I've also played mods that were way better than anything offered on the club. And again, all for free. They can keep their super duper extra special deluxo anniversary diamond edition.

I like the armor mods. The spell knight armor and the alternate armor series are almost mainstays in my games with how much I use them.

When the anniversary edition came out, I never bought the upgrade yet still got the saints and sinners quest in an update. It was a fun quest, tough you spent money on it though.

Looking back on this, the anniversary update was definitely worth it. It was only $20 in the US, and I feel I got at least $20 worth of added content.

Most of what’s on Creation Club isn’t even worth installing for free. Every time I make a new character with CC content loaded I’m bombarded with quest objectives leading me to crazy overpowered items. It’s so poorly and lazily integrated into the game. Most mods that add new weapons, armors and spells actually integrate them sensibly to preserve game balance, but Creation Club doesn’t bother.

The fact Creation Club exists, killed all possibility of TES6 hype for me. Absolutely nothing prevents them to just release a quarter of a game and fill the remaining 3/4 with complementary paywalled Horse Armor.

I really like the idea of mod makers being able to get some money for their hard work, but literally everything on the CC is just _too_ expensive. Maybe Bethesda should take a smaller cut or something, idk

Yeah, I always just wait for things to be free on the holidays. Got umbra by doing that. All in all, it was enjoyable. It reminded me of oblivion when I spent the better part of an hour trying to kill Umbra when I was level 2, when one hit would almost kill me.

There was only one creation club thing I liked was the Spellknight Armor. It looks neat. That's it. There's a short quest with it, but it's really so short I barely remember it.

Only creation club item I actually paid for was the wild horses one, the rest I have I got when random items where free.

My biggest problem with the creation club is the houses. They don't function the way they're supposed to at all. You can't move your family in to them because they just get 'lost' and cease to exist. This would be fine with free mods but for 'semi official' content we're paying for they should really see about working with the person who makes them to patch something in so that you can actually live there with your family.

It is a shame no house CC ever utilized the Hearthfire house system in order to create truly unique experiences for the player to create. Like maybe slowly being able to build yourself a little fort on the top of a mountain, a bog, a cavern, etc, and maybe being able to hire guards and outfit them to your liking. I mean some of the ones we got a pretty unique in design but to be given the freedom to customize as you choose, for the most part, would have been a possibly a grand time. The farm CC near Rorikstead got close to allow control. Probably why it was one of the more liked CC.

The only reason to get the Dead Man's Dread is if you're a fan of Redguard. Unfortunately, only 20 people have actually played that game, and probably only just want to dress up as Cyrus and use his sword, which is something a mod could easily accomplish.

This is, unfortunately, the future of the industry should we allow the Creation Club to continue. Bethesda will block off access (Probably DMCA) to Nexus and, you said it yourself, players will be _forced_ to spend _thousands_ of dollars to add ~100hrs playtime. I feel like every year corporate greed finds a way to ruin people's lives just that little bit more.

I only had LE before the Anniversary Edition came out. So I paid the bundle price of $50 for the SE/AE. I never regretted it. I love the added alchemy ingredients, spells, and wizard robes. I found the unicorn and have no plans to give it up, even for Shadowmere. When I want to be extra sneaky, I pull out the Bow of Shadows. My favorite early game light armor is the scouts leather armor. I also enjoy the look of the alternate dragon scale. I don't like all of the cc content, so I just ignore what I don't want, even if it means having letters sit forever in my inventory. But that's okay, because I like enough of it to make it worth it.

I really hope the extra content is implemented properly in the anniversary edition and you're not just bombarded with 50 quest markers the second you leave Helgen.

I really wish I could get those 8 minutes back. I don't disagree that the pricing is ridiculous, but for almost everything on CC, you can buy it at discount. The only thing I bought at full price was 4 Seasons, and that was cuz I had the pocket change to waste. Every month 4-5 mods go on discount, usually with any for 400 credits normally being 0 credits. I haven't paid for a single pet. The only thing I'm missing I believe is S&S, though I've already completed it thanks to a friend allowing me to download from his account. Yes, these aren't DLC level things, but it's honestly of little consequence. If you want that, the Nexus is within reach for PC users and mods are available on console.

Special edition users will get saints and seducers for free in the creation club, at least from what I heard.

The funny thing is bethesda gave everyone saints and seducers the dwarven mudcrab and fishing for free anyways.

I really pity anyone who bought these considering in November 500 of emm will be bundled together for a normal game price. Whether you hate Anniversary Edition being a thing or not, at least its not 15 bucks for only one of these things I guess?

Actually price of upgrade to Anniversary edition is fine. You get like another DLC with this content. Prices for separate creations are just horrible, but for upgrade it's fine. Also these paid mods were made by community, not Bethesda. Bethesda only added fishing part of upgrade.

me when i found out that anniversary edition would have all the CC content + more MONTHS AFTER i saved up to buy the rest of the CC stuff i didnt have yet.

i will only get the anniversary edition if it includes any engine enhancements, like tesselation, grass that receives light, subsurface scattering, or tonemapped shadows. i know i can get most of these through ENB, but with a serious performance cost. if it really only includes creation club content or larger textures i wont upgrade.

I was new to the scene in 2016 and bought Skyrim Legendary Edition... just before Special Edition came out. So I just played oldrim with mods on and off for years, but when I heard Anniversary Edition had all of the stuff, I set about completing all the achievements in the original game. Finally did it, then bought the Anniversary Edition on sale for $18 and now I have all of the content. Very underwhelmed by the studio's obvious laziness in not wanting to record new lines for new questions, but loving a lot of the new items, like the reindeer mount and the Undying Spirit spell. Survival Mode's temperature setting is no joke, and really adds a since of danger I didn't feel in base game.

The biggest issue i see is that all for the cost of $8 and less you can get games like terraria that offer you hundreds upon hundreds of hours of content vs the 1 questline / reskins offer (that are done for free and better)

dwarven armored mudcrab is the single best thing ever created. Period. Here's why: It's a mudcrab that somehow has armor. Theres mystery to it and the choice of it being a mudcrab is also a mystery because who would want a mudcrab as a pet right? But thats whats so genious about it. Only REAL crab lovers could understand the reasoning behind it. And the best part is, you have to buy him from vendor's because even they don't want them. And if it's something not even they want that means that it's bound to end up in YOUR hands instead of some other crazy person buying him. Conclusion: Mudcrabs are underrated and thats a good thing.

I'm worried about the effect that Anniversary Edition will have on the modding scene. Special Edition is actually having its best year ever for mods, but AE might split the playerbase and introduce a bunch of brand new headaches to the experience. I would rather Bethesda do nothing at all.

What pisses me off about the creation club, there is one mod that gave me hope for a shivering isle DLC, just an explorative DLC with no real story, maybe talk to Sheogorath, all exploration.... No, just a FUCKING TEASE

I don't get why you would want to summon zombies at Will. I mean, except if you _really_ hate the guy, and then again summon 3-4 and he'll be dead, you'll be summoning half-dead creatures in a coffin on a full dead one.
