What if we just THINK ea has build restrictions When in reality their builders are really that bad

I get the impression that almost everyone judges EA for bad builds and wishes that they'd make better job. But aren't the starter homes SUPPOSED TO be bad?? Isn't the Sims all about renovating and building your dream homes? I don't know if this is a unpopular opinion, but I think the EA builds should be this way. It's not like they're not trying, they are probably deliberately creating odd houses that fit for new sims with little money in the beginning of their career AND which players can easily renovate to look better. I also think that having beautiful starter homes would make many people feel like they are doing bad job with their own builds and question why they'd want to build their own houses in the first place - especially younger kids and bad builders. So I do give credit to EA's bad builds! They fit the game and we also get to see fun renovation videos like lilsimesie is doing.

Please do the each room is a different style challenge!

New build challenge idea: If you placed it down it must stay. So let's say you want to place a couch, you can switch the couches and where it stands as long as you don't place it down. If you placed it down you are stuck with it and can't change it anymore. So you really need to think it through before you place anything (including walls, flooring, windows...). If you like the idea leave a like so she sees it. 👍🏻

i think the builds are computer-generated automated to use selected packs and placements. Makes sense as they follow grids and use mostly wrong swatches and nothing matches. The crane building I think was made by a Guru however everything else I do honestly believe it's computer-generated.

i don’t know how it is in florida, but where im from the houses nearby look completely different to your house. i like how houses are similar to nearby houses in the sims, but it isn’t a large problem for me

lmao when i remodeled this house i made it all one room first too i also made the stairs L shaped so that it could create a barrier between the “two rooms” and i threw an attic on there bc of the ladders and it helped a lot bc i gave myself a whole other living room up there fully functional and a ton of skill building objects

build idea: build a house but once you place something down, it stays that way. can't undo, can't change the color, can't move it, can't sell it, can't size it up or down, it's there and it's final once it's placed edit: you would be able to change things that can't be altered until they're placed, like split level stairs, but only once. you can hover over color swatches for items but once you pick one that's the color it stays as

I thought of a new challenge, it's kinda tedious but basically you would you would be normally but everytime you touch (aka move the furniture) you have to change to the next swatch, I think it would make for a hilarious looking house as it would also be a no mistake kinda thing were you can only change the swatch when you move it

not to question the rules of this challenge; since I, too, do not know how the restrictions are set but wouldnt the actual polygon count of the objects come into play? would a small plant genuinely be equal to a larger furniture piece when it comes to performance?

To be honest, EA probably builds the way they do intentionally, so it makes us want to renovate and get more involved in the game. If they were all good, what would there be left to do? And the same goes for the townies. I really love and appreciate EA for doing this and I hope they continue to provide us with "bad" builds so we can all continue to improve them! 😊 if that makes any sense at all! 😂😂

I'm honestly surprised, a lot of the builds from Eco Lifestyle are actually usable when you move your Sim. I think they have definetly improved since releasing other packs like Get Famous, Strangerville, etc.
