5:55 I like how you've mounted a vacuum nozzle pretty much as close as possible to the cutter, but the foam chips are just like "Nah, I'll think we'll do our thing and just fly everywhere."

I've been interested in fiberglass for a while, and here's a tip I've learned. If you lay down a layer of resin first, then the fiberglass, it will wet out better and faster.
@WesleyTreat
@WesleyTreat Жыл бұрын
I've read that, but I was convinced the resin would have just beaded up on that foam.
@rtkracht

I’m interested in what kind of resin you used. I have tried fiberglassing over pink foam and I’ve found that the resin ‘melts’ the foam somewhat. I see two types… polyester or epoxy. Which did you use in this video???

If you alternate between pumps of resin and hardener you don't need to count and can never lose track. This has the side benefit of giving each pump time to fully return to the top so you get a more accurate measure.

OMG that's too funny 🤣 I remember this summer I was at a job site talking to the Realtor about what needed to be done and I actually said "I watched a couple KZfaq videos" and qualified it with "I can't believe I'm going to say this out loud"... Both of us burst out laughing and she said "Yeah I did too." It was absolutely hilarious. Did it right and got the job done too 😁
