putting foam inside your spacebar doesent affect the rattle of the spacebar, it just affects the sound of it but doesnt eliminiate the rattle. If your spacebar is ratteling it comes most likly from the stabilizer or from a too loose spacebar on the stabilizer stems

The first time you ever lube switches takes so long once you do it later on and get in a groove you can lube quite a bit of them pretty quickly even faster if you invest in some tools like a mod board for your keys

Have you considered trying to plate swap? IMO a decent amount of the sharpness of the board might be coming from the steel plate, and there are some stores rn that have custom wooting plates. Ofc, they're not cheap, and might change a lot, or change very little

Hi I’m late but no it mostly comes from the switches, they have a PC plate now but the sound doesn’t change a lot and it remains firm (which is important for HE switches)

pro tip - function + caplocks + windows key will lock the windows key from being pressed :)

try doing a plate swap, i recommend a polycarbonate or polypropylene cut plate. if you need more help, you could refer to keybored's video on plate materials that would mute your switches more

Also you can be lazy/smart and lube the main keys you use... Wasd Spacebar and keys you commonly use for utilities. Also recommend hole/bandaid modding stabs (which cost nothing) and buy some o rings and doing a burger mount.

Just the Switch plate, you can use any HE key cap like the available Lekker45s with the 60He+ module or Gateron Jade He switches are highly recommended. Then any case like a Tofu redux or the Alumaze aluminum case and any keycaps you like.

@@deluxebulls5939 actually youre right here, I didnt really notice it was that rattly at the start since he types on it for like 5 seconds and I compared it to the unmodded version of my friend that sounds much less rattly. If you compare it to that one it doesnt really sound different, they really stepped up their product quality there,

A 65% would be optimal, or 75% if you want the function row. The halo65 from nuphy is really good

@@ColeCaccamise You can just remap the keys in the lower right to arrow keys and set another key to function. It makes it so you don't have to hold down FN to use the arrows. Or you could just use modtap so you can use the assigned key when you hold it and arrows when you tap it.

$300 in mods to make it still sound worse than the drunk deer a75 stock lol. I guess this video was made before the drunk deer and all its firmware updates. Switches used in the drunk deer are just so much more stable it helps a ton with sound compared to the super wobbly wooting switches. Steelseries apex pro has the same issue, even worse actually.

"You don't need the functions row or the arrow keys really ever" - how presumptuous and utterly wrong of you. 75% keebs are only 1 key wider, so the impact on mouse space is minimal, and they provide full set of F keys as well as navigation keys. Currently considering DrunkDeer A75 for this reason, since Wooting are too busy making UWU keypads instead of releasing a 75% keeb.
