@@Penquinn14 I think it's because the inputs that are given to the AI are very specific, so it really doesn't have any other thing to add to that scene. I think the space station scenario(over on charborg's channel) worked better since the prompts were vague and simple action that could branch out more. The funny thing about AI generation stuff like this is that if you truly want it to do cool things you need to be a lot more vague, but still give some context about the situation so that it can build upon it. It's very interesting to see how they both handled it, Criken treated it like a DnD campaign with fully fleshed out environments and influential characters that chat was supposed to interact with, but chose to ignore (chat completely ignoring the stateroom for example, or grugngrog deciding to spontaneously marry Plumbus). Meanwhile, Charborg just set up the overall idea for a scene and let the chaotic natures of both chat and the AI go wild. I'm not saying one method is necessarily better than the other, obviously both of them led to comedic and entertaining situations, which was the real point at the end of day.

@@Penquinn14 I've used NovelAI for a while now, both for RPG design and actual practical writing. It needs data to draw on for the most part, but it's very _very_ capable of taking cues as long as the data you give it to work with is something of substance. You literally need to "feed" it, but you have to use your brain. Using _anything_ that's remotely related to things in popular culture (like Plumbus, for example) risks throwing into a loop of referential creation that can throw off an entire narrative, unless that's your goal. NovelAI is very, very smart, but if you treat it like a stupid machine it's going to act like one.

Holy crap this was so good, one of the best videos you’ve put out in a while- especially in collaboration with charborg and his new style of streaming, it’s just so entertaining when chat is actually involved and not just something that the streamer mentions or turns their head when the camera is on. I found it hilarious how in sync both your chats were at times and want to see more of this in the future, write up another story like this or play it again, it’ll be just as fun to watch.
