Just wondering if you've considered a pair of Bellflower tips for the exhaust to bring the lower rear quarters closer to the ground, visually? It was a popular mod on early '60s mild customs (especially GM full-size cars) to help make up for the difference in height between the rockers and the area behind the rear fenderwell. It definitiely suits the age of the car and its body styling, even though your general build style may be a bit more modern.

I can see the vision come to life. Referring to the bushings between the body and the chassis, Beetles also had those, so not a bad idea.

I hope the roads where you live are perfect because that is the only place you can drive cars with really low profile tyres, in Australia we call these tyres rubber band tyres. I had a Hilux with 16s and 35 tyres and it tram-tracked badly on average roads so I went to 15s with 45 tyres and never had a problem with tram tracking again.

Hey John , there is a Mk-3 body kit made by the company Ludwig, but it comes from Germany. Are you familiar with it. If so, how do I get it imported into the USA? There was a company called E strictly foreign, that used to import it, but they've sense close their doors. The company Ludwig is from Germany, and they don't import to the US. please help?
