*Fun fact* - The shoot for this video took way longer than expected, and everybody was getting bored, so Siobhan (the second female performer) went for a wander within the town, found a bar and got absolutely smashed on vodka. When she showed up to do her part she could barely stand up, but they went with it and the result was brilliantly and hilariously over the top.

This was huge in the UK. It stayed at number one for 8 weeks in 1992.

It always made me think of two sisters, an Angel and Death. Both have their eyes on the Man for completely different reasons. It is almost like he was in limbo with the two wrestling control over his soul. One wanted him to stay alive while the other wanted to take him to the afterlife.

My personal favourite is "I don't care" but " your history" highlights the differences of their voices perfectly. Recently reunited after literally not talking to each other for two decades.

I interpret the song as a man placed in purgatory after his suicide with light and darkness battling for his soul.

It's the struggle between good and evil, between life and death, guess who won love. The two of them are sisters.

i know now that Siobhan was playing Death but when i was a little girl i didn't understand that. I thought she was an evil Queen/witch that stole the prince and the princess had to save him. 😂 if you like storylines you might like Lindsey Stirling. she wrote an album with a comic book that completes the story and she has done videos for most of the songs now. Its called Artemus. Goddess of the Moon and Hunt, twin sister of Apollo- the god of the Sun, and her struggles with Nixx, Goddess of night and darkness. My husband just bought me the Graphic novel for mothers day. (still waiting for it to arrive from america but i don't even care its taking a while😊) Artimus storyline music videos so far- Underground, The Upside, (Its between here that there is a gap in the story) then-Artemus, Between Twilight, Till the Light goes out, Our love goes on and on-feat. Amy lee of Evanessence she has a shorter story but beautiful none the less, Shatter Me feat. Lzzy Hale from Halestorm and Lost girls go together. Fantastic reaction. You totally get it, the second woman was death, there to claim him but was defeated. I loved this band in the early 90’s. The woman representing death, used to be in another band that was really big in the 90’s, they were called Bananarama. One of their most notable hits is Cruel Summer. A favorite of many is Venus.
