I love the fact that the dad asks whether The boy is withdrawing from something. Obviously withdrawal can be very dangerous. I think he was very responsible for asking that and trying to ascertain whether he was just being lazy or genuinely ill. It’s hard for the kids to get up it’s a shock to the body clock.

I agree with the first half of the comment. Amazing behaviour, responsible, wise, yes. No, they went from Australia to Montana. If you're talking jet lag and body clock, then it's the other way round, he should've woken up long before as it would be midday in Australia already

I would be interested to see follow ups on these episodes how the teens turned out. It's hard to believe one week can be as life changing for every teen as all the episodes end with.

Same. No way 1 week is enough to change the behaviours that these kids developed over the course of several years. Especially once they are back in their old environment which led to them developing those behaviours in the first place.

This family is amazing at training horses I mean wow, swatted at and yelled at and it’s just chill, little ear flinch and that’s it. Any horse I’ve ever known would’ve spooked. Truly amazing horsemanship by this family, I’m highly impressed.

WOW! I’m attempting to parent my first later teen and really needed this woman’s wisdom. My Mom and grandma passed away within months of each other 4 years ago. I miss them so much. Thanks to this wise woman and wife and Mother.

Ahaha I love that you can tell exactly who’s who on the horses cause the teens can’t sit the trot properly 😂 The parents were so nice. These parents and the two guys with the five(?) foster kids are my absolute favourites. No yelling, no tempers being lost, no invading privacy or just uncomfortable rules like losing doors or taking belongings, just pressure and patience and love.

I was married to an Australian. Kids are not raised with discipline or to respect their parents. It's a real problem. His kids were terrible, and it's one of many reasons why I left him. They're not doing them favors by raising them to be disrespectful losers. Glad these 2 have found that out. Good luck to them. God bless that family in Montana. ❤

I know we mess up but those behaviours are still not justifiable. Their actions may be understandable because of their parents but it doesn’t justify them. And it’s still embarrassing. It just annoys me how they take it for grated and not even see the privilege they have.

The parents really aren’t that strict it’s just no smoking,drinking,swearing and you have to help out. In other episodes they make you take your piercings out and they go through your bag.

These parents are exactly right; it takes as long as it takes, next time it takes less time. These kids got to where they are because they were trained, little by little, by their parents that they could get their way by temper tantrums and now the new parents are training the kids, little by little.

They’re probably the only set of parents on the entire show, from all countries that I actually liked. They’re not all that strict, they’re actually really nice and they value hard work and are trying to pass that belief on to their own kids. That’s good parenting. You want something you work for it and you’ll appreciate it more.
