The Ed Sullivan show wasn't taped. His performances are legend. That's his genius. Electrifying. For his movies it's slightly different. There's no lipsynching in the movies. Not exactly. You go into the studio. You pre-record just the audio tracks for the sake of sound quality . When you go to the film stage, you actually do sing out loud, just like in the audio studio.

I also watched a voice expert that analyzed voices and have seen several different ones! ELVIS' voice was the ONLY one that could never be autotuned! It was amazing watching his variation of notes and key rises! Every single artist today uses anything they can that will give them a voice, although it is a farce! They have NO talent! Ohhh! Too bad that they were not alive to witness a true talent...a true STAR! ELVIS!!!

Yes! When he was autotuned it completely flattened his voice and did not sound good.

I just remember reading, somewhere, years ago, that he had some say in the writing of the lyrics of that song. That's all I recall. And as far as getting any of the writing credit for whatever part he had in the lyric writing, I've just never come across any information stating anything about that. But now that you've brought it up, I decided to have a look. Wikipedia has some info about it. Turns out he did share writer's credit but there's no information about what part he actually had in the writing. There's a good chance that he didn't actually write any part of the song. A lot of singers do have a contractual agreement that they shall receive some percentage of writer's credit even if they didn't actually contribute a single word to the composition. The article does mention that Presley's contract included such a clause. So there ya go.
