Precision instrument is a better perk for 120 hand cannons and scouts, as it actually gives the 2 head one body ttk back. You can’t argue with added forgiveness.

You get added forgiveness on 140s too it just wont let you 2h1b. Healing,shields, restoration yada yada. Bigger number is good for monke brain too.

@@BurnerAcc-yy1sd PI still is a wasted perk regardless. It doesn’t bring any significant changes compared to 120 handcannons or even 180s that have that same perk. Before you say “well it gives a further 3 tap”, as wallah said, it’s a VERY small percentage. It requires too many hoops to go around whereas the kill activated perks only require a kill. You should be already doing that so there should be no issue at all. And it’s WAY less situated

Hahahaha... glad I kept both of mine that have these two particular perks, slideshot+opening shot I think both are 4/5 though 1st : Corckskrew/smallbore - riccochet/lightmag-slideshot-opening shot, stability MW 2nd: extended barell/full bore - riccochet/armor-piercing - slideshot - opening shot, range MW

You'll also be able to enhance Magni. Howl, and I don't believe PI is going to increase the actual damage until the latter end of the magazine. Might as well go with MH at that point.

If you want a funny roll, discord harmony is pretty good. Discord gives you cracked accuracy and can bump the ae from 70 (extended mag + icarus) to 100, while harmony gives you forgiveness under the same activation condition. Pair with any weapon you’ll consistently get kills with, or a discord special weapon, and you can get some pretty silly kills

Honestly, I would say the one park that's been underrated. Is Encore with precision instrument with at least 60 range it's been consistent for me definitely would take magnificent howl over precision instrument.But with Encore... And private matches are bugged.

I like Encore - Precision Instrument in PVP. Heal Clip / Kill Clip is good too. The Opening Shot Roll I like has Encore.

all my best rolls are with opening shot. mag howl is ok but then comparing the two, the benefits of opening shot in EVERY duel win over for me so it has become my go to in that column

I think the point of precision instrument is to give you the 2 head one body kill reliably if you want to stack on range pair it with encore and you’ll have a nasty weapon

I have the same 5/5 roll with fluted instead of corkscrew. Actually prefer the additional 10 handling and only giving up 5 range is worth it - difference in range falloff is less than a meter.

Mag howl is the clear play imo. The extra range and damage is so huge. The two taps are nice but just being able to 2 head 1 body with no timer is already a huge strength.

Encore+mag howl or heal clip+mag howl, definitely more synergistic to pair heal clip with MH since you reload to get your buffed bullets.

Got this with 71 range and 57 stability. I think Mag Howl is also a great option. No matter how many times I tried Precision Instrument it just didn't feel like I was gaining much of anything. On my adept Igneous? For sure, Precision Instrument is great. Luna's Howl? I don't think so. Mag Howl and Opening Shot are the real choices for PvP.

I think a perk like "fast trigger" would be really cool on handcannons basically immediately after you draw your HC you get a damage buff for your first shot that + opening shot would be really cool imo

Find it interesting that you fire that like you fire dead man's tale. Moving the mouse down after the shot to allow you to view where your target is to then flick back to their head. This must be the key to using it well on m&k

honestly ive been using a golden encore/precision instrument roll i got and i love it, i do feel like prec. int. is really nice, especially in back to back gunfights. just depends on ur preference i suppose. HOWEVER, i will say midnight coup feels kinda shit with opening shot. still waiting to get that payload/zen roll, but other than that, i dont think it's worth using in pvp.

In my testing, Howl and Opening Shot feel better in 3s or Rumble when my engagements have a little breathing time between them. PI has felt WAAAY nicer in 6s where your engagements are a little more back-to-back. And I wasn't using Flint Striker. All rolls were 66 range, w/o Slideshot (Only SS rolls so far has been KillClip and Incandescent :( ) Frankly, any of the three will work so long as you get the range stat up and adjust to the recoil.

When i got this roll, but everyone was gassing precision instrument, i knew they didn't try this roll.. I've never snagged shots like this ever. Hands down the best handcannon for controller players.

I have both a Slideshot + Opening Shot and a Slideshot + Magnificent Howl Roll. Precision Instrument just didn't feel like it made a real difference, especially considering that you have to land consecutive precision hits for it to work. Opening Shot is just a free buff, and Magnificent Howl only requires precision kills, and grants a stacking buff similar to Ace of Spades' Momento Mori. I'll probably still keep a Precision Instrument Roll just in case the perk is either buffed or is actually good when Enhanced, though.

Gun has ONE worthwhile niche over meta stat monsters. Howl, you use howl for the special 'kill clip' perk to team shot and add forgiveness that's it otherwise even a non adept exalted from Saint is better.

@@cartier28All i know is my energy handcannons have 75 range on the lowest and at 49 handling on the lowest. Lunas can barely get 71 and has a measly 40 handling the in air accuracy isn't enough to compensate for the bad stats..and if i wanna play full into the air on using heat rises with a high impact to two burst from the air. Fair point regardless but still.

I'm noticing the best way to use luna's on MnK: after you shoot, snap down and re-snap onto the target because the flinch will just prevent you from tracking your target if you don't snap. Nice roll

Howl is better. Gun doesn't have the range to compete with other monsters in raw duels unless you expose yourself by pushing harder. I got ss.os it's okay.

My ss os has a base 71 range without slideshot or opening shot. It's range is better than rose and feels better than rose as well. With SS active it feels just like my 90 range igneous hammer. Howl doesn't matter if you can't get kills. Range+range and accuracy is the way to go.
