@Why Tho There is a smarter thing to do, tie a string around your hard drive, not too tight because there is no harm if the drive falls out.. And then, grab the other end of the string, and spin the hard drive around you, so you give it force, to spin it later on, I have tried this for so many hard drives and the result, apart from broken mirrors in my house, was a bunch of 98% working hard drives, the 2% of it was a strange clicking noise it made, and it was happening with all of the hard drives, suprisingly!

@CrazyPlayer-pf2hv
@CrazyPlayer-pf2hv 3 жыл бұрын
I need to transfer over the kidney , heart and more because it is paired to the brain. (And of course the vocal cords because they are obviously paired to the brain) Apple iBrain. I'm gonna use a CUSTOM transparent skin case for this human and planting in new veines this is gonna look nice! The legs and feet aren't paired to the brain , but Apple has paired these in future generations. Apple has paired these because of security reasons. Replacing them any way makes it so that the toes aren't working and when replacing them at a iHuman 7 makes them NOT working anymore , not even walking. However the arms are totally replaceable. The stomach is also replaceable , but not for generations 11 and higher. I can then replace the eyes , making sure to rob the housing from the old body , because these are hard to come by. Apple has ONCE again paired them in versions 12 and higher. And this human is starting to look like something nice again. Now comes the hard part of repair and that is the kick in of the heart and heartbeat. For this I'm gonna use a shocker and revive this human. Making sure the heart functions , I again shut the human off and we are gonna proceed in our repair. I must install the rest of the components and of course a better hard drive in the brain. For this I used an AMD Threadripper , because if I were to choose Intel then this is gonna fry , just like my french fries. (does more......) And we are done! I restored this broken and dead human back into fully working condition. Everything is working. And on that note this was an Hugh Jeffreys video and I'll catch you guys next time. (If there is misspelling then don't blame me , I'm just an german guy making jokes about other comments and making storys that are obviously fake) Edit : More things added.

@@ginfong2895 well obviously not stuff in warranty, unless it's impossible to use that warranty like in the case of my Switch that has no authorized repair here, but something that has been out of warranty like the Mac shown here (for years sometimes, usually for a HDD to fail that is the case), you would be fucked anyway if you don't try it, you either pay tons for the authorized dealers or you know what you're doing and go for it. It's not about people that don't know the difference between a Philips and a Torx screwdriver of course, people that know at least a bit about these kinds of stuff are way less likely to make things worse, and know when to stop if they can't do it.

just a pro tip for everyone: When ever you dust out a fan with compressed air, always hold the fans (so that they do not spin up) or disconnect the wiring from the mainsboard. Or else you will be using the motor of the fan to act like a generator and blow up the electronics on the 12V line on the board when u speedup the fan fast enough with the compressed air No joke

This video is giving me flashbacks. I've opened up my Early 2008 24" iMac so many times over its 13 years of continual use from cleaning the fans to replacing/upgrading many parts just to keep it going. I've upgraded the HDD to an SSD (pro tip: remember to enable TRIM), replaced the GPU twice, the LCD, the logic board, CPU, and upgraded the RAM. Like the Ship of Theseus, very little of the original mac remains. But in the end I have a fully maxed out iMac (except for the GPU, for good reasons) that's still going strong. That said, I think it's high time I upgrade!

I like how you explain things, and having a voice over isn't something that's necessarily standard in repair videos, so kudos on that. One thing i wish you did differently was show every single step. You left out some things, for example, brushing out the heat syncs. I know this seems small, but it's incredibly useful to include everything for those that are just starting to get into computer hardware. I feel like even if the videos are double the length, you'd really stand out by being super inclusive, and you'd get tons more subs from people who are looking to learn how to repair computer hardware (rather than random videos that get popular from the youtube algos) All in all, cheers man, great video.
