Dry Bones looked sooo good, Luigi's Mansion would be the New Nightmare Before Christmas.

Damsels in distress is a good trope

I think it should've been a 2-3 movie project, so they didn't have to cram all references and games in 1 movie. also, the part about Princess Peach was spot on she runs everywhere without a care in the world it would've made sense if she'd gotten captured. I didn't like the bros splitting up either, but it could've provide lesson to them in each regards like lugi defeating all those dry bones, and he finds/gets courage or mario doing deeds around the world to get the respect he wanted instead of wait till the end just my opinion tho.

The movie carries itself rather well I'd say. Maybe it expects you to know too much going in, but Mario is one of fiction's most iconic characters and the plot is simple enough to follow. Average joe finds himself in strange world. Everything falls under "it's just how this world works" after that. On the subject of music, the soundtrack has a number of tracks clearly made for certain scenes in the film. Like there's a Donkey Kong Country inspired piece that is clearly meant to have been used where "Take On Me" is used in the final film. That said, the songs choices aren't bad. I'll just admit I got sucked out of the movie when most of them came on.

I LOVED the new Mario Movie! It fits in PERFECTLY with the franchise’s games, television shows, anime film, comics, and spinoffs. And it’s incredibly beautiful. I only have three very minor suggestions for improvement: Martinet voicing Mario (Chris’s performance is good, but Martinet should have been cast in the starting role), more use of the original soundtrack, and the newspaper clipping being of Pauline personally thanking the Mario Bros for saving Brooklyn (perhaps she is handing the brothers a commemorative key or plaque). Other than that, I’d leave the movie unchanged. As for Peach, since her inception, she has always been both a damsel in distress AND a powerful/capable heroine. Pauline (whom I absolutely love), on the other hand, was always a damsel in distress until Odyssey where she’s promoted to mayor and finally gets shown the love she’s so long deserved.

Hearing someone unironically say _"Charles_ Day" nearly gave me a stroke.

The trailers were cut so weird I was getting paranoid that it was secretly a musical. I did a complete 180 and had faith in this movie ever since the first trailer. Aside from a few minor gripes I was not disappointed. It was even better than I expected.

Peach is a blatant Girl Boss. So I docked the movie a point in my review. What would have been a generous 6/10, became a harsh 5/10. But yes, love and care did go into the movie, and as a Nintendo Benji80, I think a reasonable job was done. It's overrated, though.

Honestly the only thing I hated about the movie is Seth Rogan as DK. Just didn't fit. I don't have a lot of actor knowledge who should be better choice but other than it felt refreshing as hell as a movie.

Can I just say that I gasped in delight when I saw that your avatar has a little tie? It was such a happy surprise! 1:17 - Oh please, we all know the Princess Peach of this movie bows to NO ONE!

This movie was garbage for little babies. A list of references isn't a film.

Nintendo had them change the script, 5 TIMES because it was woke as F. Funny how a very sub par movie like Mario, becomes AMAZING simply because people are starving for movies that genuinely aim at diverting it's audience.
