From one man to another, thank you for talking about mental health. I’ve suffered from depression, anxiety and adhd since I was a kid. I’m now 35 years old and still face the challenges of mental health. Dealing with Dr.s, trying every medication under the sun, talking to therapists, it’s a disease that takes ahold and seldom let’s go. Just know your not alone out there!

I was an insecure kid in high school walking around the Aronld Classic expo and I was so shocked and to scared to say hello to any of my Hero’s growing up. I will never forget Flex Wheeler (I think noticed me and that I was nervous) introduced himself and said “ Hi would you like an autograph?” He shook my hand and signed my Superman shirt. I will never forget it. I was so pumped afterwards.

This is possibly the best podcast I’ve ever watched. The heart, the soul and the honesty in the room is humbling and yet sensational.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Flex Wheeler (some supplement store) back in his prime competitive years. He was super cool. Such a great dude. We talked for over an hour about women, cars, parties and fame. Bodybuilding never came up.

Met Flex W at FIBO some years ago. Told him it was a real honor. And still, even then in pre-surgery days. He was so modest and grateful. I will never forget that moment. Respect, and more bro.

Flex I was around in your era and we've met each other quite a few times the last time I saw you was at the Olympia in Orlando after your leg amputation I got to be friends with JJ Marsh and I know you and him were pretty tight I would love to hear you tell the story of how when you woke up in the hospital JJ Marsh was sitting next to your side. God rest his soul you're still the goat to me I remember when you first came on the scene guest posing at the southern states that was the first time I met you and shook your hand and I still have that picture. I'm glad to hear you talk about how you open up I spent a lot of years in bad places in the service and took me years to open up about it.

What an open and moving podcast. Best podcast I've listened to over the last year. Both Flexs were amazing bodybuilders, and in my top 5 favourites of all time but what made this so great was the openness of both of them. Mens mental health needs to be talked about and Flex Wheelers openness will help me deal with my past issues moving forward. Big thanks to both Flex's💪💪

I've been watching bodybuilding since the early '80s and as a competitor myself . In my opinion Flex Wheeler has the greatest shape, symmetry and proportions ever to grace a bodybuilding stage. He's the guy even the untrained eye would say is cartoon character like. I understand why Ronnie won the Olympia and Dorian won the Olympia but standing alone Flex wheeler was flawless. I had an opportunity to meet him briefly at the Europa bodybuilding show Dallas and he couldn't have been nicer. Meeting your Heroes can sometimes be disappointing but it wasn't when I met Flex.

Flex Wheeler is a living legend!

I’ve watched all of Flex’s interviews. This one is good. My favorite or the one that makes you understand the struggle he has gone dealing health issues was on Dennis James’ channel. I love the fact that he is consistent about his stories! Almost word for word when he has shared stories that I’ve heard before. Wishing Flex the very best!! That 1993 Arnold Classic is if not the best top 3 best packages ever! I loved his 1998 Ironman and 2000 Arnold Packages too. Forever the Sultan of Symmetry.

Honestly , Wheeler, you should have won the Olympia answer twice I do believe you got robbed. But what I can say is in life some of the greatest people some times become the best teachers. That’s you because it was taken away from you and even body parts were taken away from you but you can stand and sit and share the experience hopefully somebody we’ll take it to another level because you exceeded that level.
