I just want to say that "The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest" isn't an isekai. It's straight fantasy. The Sage uses magic to reincarnate himself into his own world because crests are given at birth so by being born again, he has the opportunity to get another crest. It's just been a long time, so he has to refamiliarize himself with the changing times.

28:06 Just came back from watching Ep 2 of this. If Sydney had a sister, that girl would be her. It’s almost like this waifu is a different flavour of the same girl. Like an imperfect clone that has the ingredients, but put together differently. Gojou is also such a lovable dunce you can’t seem to hate, but I’d prefer it if the Anime switched Gojou and Marin with Sydney and Garnt to see what their version would look like. Would Sydney be the one recommending eroge games proudly? Would Garnt be seen ‘seriously’ watching it for reasons other than designing cosplay? The possibility are endless! Meaning: If Sydney was an Anime Waifu and Garnt was an Anime Husbando, I’d be shipping them even more than right now.

I worry that people might expect too much from Sabikui Bisco because of the big names behind it, but production is a team sport and having some star players won’t always show how good their end product will be, still crossing my fingers that it’s good though.

The premise is that you have this scientist, Ms. Kuroitsu, who works for a company that makes the monsters you see in tokusatsu (Power Ranger-like) shows. You see the development team Ms. Kuroitsu is on constantly go into crunch time and try to work out the bugs in their monsters. It parodies corporate life in a monster-making company.

Vanitas took a few episodes for me to fully grasp wtf was going on and the politics at play, but once that world building was established I got hooked and pulled in quickly. It has amazing, tasteful sexual tension and was one of the least annoying anime brand vampires I have seen in a long time. It's just one of those stories that you won't know totally how you feel until the end of the season, at which point you are glad to have taken the ride.

Top notch video Grant! There are some really promising ones this Winter 2022, I personally love Akebi's Sailor Uniform, it's beautiful and I actually compared it to Makoto Shinkai's animation in my video as well! Great minds think alike ahaha

I know that there is no exact date of 2022 for The Eminence in Shadow anime, but as a light novel reader and manga reader of this story, I highly recommend you watch this anime when it ever gets an exact date of release. Also do not get swayed by the trailer lol.

Garnt took the words out of my heart on what he sais about AOT S4 Part 2. Yes the animation Mappa has here will never be good as what Wit did with S1 to S3 but as long as the animation is not like the Seven Deadly Sins or Berserk (2016) then it's okay. Plus animation here in Part 2 doesn't look bad. Mappa has improved it alot compared to Part 1 specially the CGI of the titans. The story of AOT is what really matters here and so far, it's been going great. Let's hope the ending is satisfying for the most part.

i am so watching vanitas season 2 to be fair i got obsessed with season 1, its just. It is very much an anime coming straight for my troat, i think if you liked pandora hearts, if you liked owari no seraph, if you like dgray man a ridiculous amount, if you liked black butler.. I mean pandora hearts obviously would carry over, however the others are a bit more just observation. The short of it is "the animation is incredible, i love the charathers and their desings and the colours, the story is interesting, the fights kick ass, the music is good, also i just like vampires. i do think its actually going about vampires in a fairly unique way actually, as in it has a lot of style and anime tends to go either in a more demons or a... how do i... hmm id say a more vampire knight direction with it. The world formula concept definetly feels like its putting its own spin and the plot is genuenly intriguing, id definetly recommend reading the manga as well as watching it, its just good. another way to pitch it would be "do you collect poor little meow meows to shake in a can that commit astrocities? are the sentences This characther reminds me of a cat and I feel like this will be my favourite charathers synonimous to you? do you just like pretty hair? i dont even know where im going with this other then i sincerely hope more people watch this show

11:46 I loved the manga of this one and love it but after watching the "first" episode and I must ask you to wait and watch the real first episode, the story hasn't really started yet and what was aired first was basically just the set-up/backstory that usually isn't talked about/shown in most anime till later. It's not Mushoku Tensei but it's good and should have some funny parts. 15:25 Give this one at least one episode. I watched the first and it was interesting. More of a Shojo style of isekai which can be refreshing for us Isekai junkies. Also that wasn't the "mom", that was the "daughter" which is explained in the first episode. 22:35 Technically it's not an Isekai, it's just reincarnation. Also the storyline is kinda meh.

okay as a manga reader of "fantasy bishoujo juniku ijisan to" i can confirm that it is a amazing manga,, and if they adapt it properly it will be good, and seeing as it is being done by the studio behind "odd taxi", "komi-san" and the pokemon anime i feel like it is in good hands.

I remember once reading about military squadrons seeing some weird stuff during the world wars, like giant angels with wings of light or tales of a big black dog killing people in a village. I'd love to see an anime based on paranormal stuff like that. Not on an Isekai setting, but more realistic like, and leaning towards horror.

Honestly, Baraou no Soretsu is wonderful. I read the manga and I can proudly say that It's by far my fav and everything about it is astonishing. I don't really know if it will meet the the high standards of the manga but the story is very well executed. The gothic, historical and dark themes just pull you in the story. Aya Kanno did a really good job even though she worked previously on a shojo manga (otomen), her drawing style is perfect for battles and gore. Really looking forward to it!

Okay as someone who's read Sasaki to Miyano many times; it's a pretty good series, even if you aren't big into BL lol. It's actually quite comedic (often making fun of and acknowledging common BL tropes) while also being a very sincere and wholesome romance, which also touches on some issues with insecurity (mainly with Miyano's more feminine features). I'm very excited to see how it'll turn out! And I hope people won't brush it off just because it's a BL like some did with Given.

Having only read vanitas manga I can say the story is great! Different view of vampires but somewhat main stream. It's weird but good. Looks like part 2 of anime is in a good part of the story that will probably catch it up to manga. Hoping it does not get a pandora heart (Jun Mochizuki manga before Vanitas) type ending for anime (quick cut to bs ending)

There was an absolutely huge crafting monologue from arifuretta in the novels that was completely cut from all the other media types providing some much needed explanation of wtf was going on and how all his kit was made and a bunch of internal monologue from the mc was also cut from later parts figuring out the bosses etc. Honestly in my opinion as much as that would have cost more to va those lines and slow down the show it would have been far better with them. Just look at the effort to do the monologue in overlord and you can see that's a vital part of what made it brilliant. I would rate some of the early to middle sections of the novel at least for Arifuretta as coming very close to overlord in sheer charachter quality and I don't say that lightly. Hell they even cut the narrarative intermissions explaining some stuff that hajime had no info on yet building out the world.

I too initially didn't watch Vanitas given the vampire aesthetic, but having been bored with the rona the other week I binged it in a day and can truly say it was well worth the time.

So cool that you're trying out vids on a second channel as well, it was really really entertaining

In my opinion, leadale is probably one of the best anime this season. It's got a very lighthearted, op character type story with mysterious and even dark undertones. What really caught me was how much attention they paid to the fact that the world is set in an MMORPG, which, as an MMORPG player, is always fascinating to see. The character doesn't seem fully like a part of the world she's in, and rather exactly just like a player who was thrown into that situation. She's got a feeling of realism to her, and the anime caught me from episode one.

This is nice to see you diversify yourself. Keep going!

Ok, so I read the Sasaki to Miyano manga and the second you said "it looks like a BL Horimiya" I had like a light bulb moment. In some ways you're really not wrong cause it's just a super cute, super wholesome BL series.

I'm surprised Gigguk ended up uploading this and if that means there'll be no seasonal overview video on his main channel. If there IS a seasonal overview on his main, it'll be tough not to rehash some of the jokes from this video since 90% of these jokes were golden.

i wish i was in chat to let Grant know that the Shikkakumon (crest reincarnation "isekai") is not actually an isekai. MC finds out later that he is born thousands of years after in his original world where some forces have deliberately spread misinformation on the power levels of the crests, intentionally decreasing the general magical ability of the world. so its up to this old-timer to find out why and fix things
