As someone that's 100% the game. Unless you're doing a challenge run like no ranged weapons you should be able to clear missions without savescumming. The mission you did must've been wrongly labeled because the robot is a late game troop unit. Going into that mission you should have Skitarii rangers or sharpshooters upgraded to lvl 2 and 4 techpriests upgraded to at least half the talent points. With enough movespeed and CP you absolutely can rush the end mission, scan the four things and get out in one turn

Yeah, this game is absolutely ferocious when you are starting out. Almost too much so, but it does sell the 40k atmosphere.

The brutal difficulty spikes in this game are one reason why I never wound up finishing it. I love, love, love the music - Children of the Omnissiah is something I can put on a 10-hour loop and leaving it playing while I study, write, game, do chores, whatever. It's fantastic. But the game itself? Not even remotely fair at times.

I like the "part: X" for titles instead of "day: X", sometimes there just isn't anything happening on some days / the game part of the streams are shorter

I've played through this twice and the mission difficulty labelling system is comically incorrect. I've had easy missions that were nigh unwinnable and hard missions that were trivial.

I watched you play darkest dungeon. And I am convinced, without ever playing this, you just overlooked critical information. AGAIN

What do you mean difficulty spikes? you're fighting the bloody Necrons. They trapped gods in Pokemon balls. The only thing keeping them taking over the universe is; Their Silent King is depresso of damning their kind, The majority of them are in sleep stasis, and the minority who are alive are a bunch of old-posh-Noble a-holes who are busy about politics and in fighting. Except that one guy who everyone loves that is building his own Pokemon museum in 40K. EDIT : On a gaming philosophical note. I like save scumming games. Because, clearly the game is made intending for you to make mistakes and learn from them. They want you to try out different things. Its like raiding blind. You are supposed to go try things, wipe, learn something from that wipe.
