I've been holding onto my First Generation Nintendo Switch for some time now! I have finally gotten to the point where I am ready to part ways with it, since I recently upgraded to a Nintendo Switch OLED.
Hang out with me and my Bestie (@The_Liscannonball - IG) as we take a trip to Game Stop to see if we can get a decent trade in value for my Nintendo Switch. I wouldn't advise anyone going to GameStop for any trade-ins. You're better off going to your local retro store to trade in your games, consoles and accessories.

You got got. Generation 1 Switches are easily moddable and hackable which makes them worth more online. But overall not a bad deal.

Game stop is such a rip off any other option is a better option than GameStop when getting rid of gaming stuff only thing GameStops got going for it is it's convenient if you just want to off something real quick and you just like walking around in store checking out new things 🎮 I recently sold a couple of old Nintendo Switches on mercari and got more than 79$ each plus the funds i can actually transfer to my bank account unlike store credit nice vid queen of turtles 🐢🐢🐢🐢 🗡️⚔️❤

We never had a gamestop here in the UK but did have game they were a big rip-off the queen definitely would've been better going to a local retro store

She said it was defective because of the hair and the glue from the stickers. You should have asked what it would have been regular. Then went and got some alcohol wipes and cleaned it up

I thought they were literally trying to steal from you. I once took in 5 GBA games to trade, because they had a deal of 30% extra credit for 5 games. They gave me a low offer and I said no, they tried to give me 4 of my games, and said they didn’t have a 5th one. After a few minutes of arguing, the guy was like, “oh here it is.” Never went back to a GameStop since.

Great video QueenG! Gamestop (i believe You know this) gives 70% cash value of a trade-in. Here in Houston, Tx. The trade-in is $80.00 with a $56.00 cash value. Yours was a little higher than that. Which is good! You did well QueenG! You were able to trade in Your Switch and got a Mario steering wheel to use and to display in Your collection! I'll give You an A! 👍😁

I would only trade something if there’s a sell going on at GameStop like if you trade in a console for like the newest one you get a bonus trade in credit I had to trade in my switch lite it was so tiny for my hands I got like $135 plus more for it.

You would have gotten much more money selling all that stuff on Ebay. Especially the GTA IV game. I'm still confused as to how GameStop continues to stay in business year after year with the shady business tactics they use. If I buy anything from there it's usually prepaid currency cards and that's it. The trade-in model is nothing but outdated robbery.

I’m a HUGE fan on the switch! I agree, definitely one of the best….for me, next to the SNES. 😎 I gotta thing with clutter tho….and since I now have the Switch OLED….just don’t see a need for my old one hanging around 🤷🏾‍♀️

I sold my OG launch Switch at GameStop for cash back when the OLED had just released and there was a big shortage on consoles in general. They gave me like $150 cash for it. Tbh, you should consider selling your stuff online. I use Mercari and you could have easily gotten $100-150 for that Switch, minus fees and the cost of some cheap shipping materials. I would have bought it off you for $80 cash all day! Lol

@@TheSitDownClown if the games are not 2 years old and they are not included in psplus subscription the discounted price in the digital store will be 66% so for the store to have profit they should pay the 25% of the original price. If they way older they justified to pay the 10% of the original price.

Gamestop is the biggest scam. They will find any bs excuse to not buy your stuff and even when they do, it’s dirt cheap prices even for valuable stuff that they turn around and sell for high prices. I don’t even know why they promote “buy, sell, trade” when clearly they do not like having to buy anything. I would only go to Gamestop as a last resort, much rather a retro game store. They are much more friendlier, better prices etc
