@@magnusweber3252 I feel like the issue is that he assigns a label to each card (usually "useless") which bites him in the ass if a card does 2 things (usually .. a pendulum card, because he assigns "scales" and forgets to check the actual effect).

Just wait if he ever gets into Platinum. He will probably never win a duel. Gimmicky Rogue-Decks are probably the weakest in Plat 5 and Cimo can't really do anything against them.

Dude is allergic to attacking with all his monsters. He had no reason not to keep his morph in attack and go for damage

Unfortunately there is so many misplays in this duel. For example he used the quick play when he didn’t need to since kernel should be able to use its effect when it’s being flipped up since it’s dmg step he should be able to use the effect to remove itself from the board then he wouldn’t have to risk staplen in attack mode then he could have used the spell to destroy bomber dragon. He doesn’t realize how good kernel can be in dmg step which is honestly very sad cause he’s not taking advantage of the card fully. This is another tech you can use in dmg step to negate an attack and reduce another monsters attack that kernel can do but he isn’t aware of it.

This challenge is so fun and creates so many iconic moments. I’m never gonna forget using iron chain blaster to burn for exact game against ancient gears when I couldn’t out the golem.

FR, once i was pretty much dead and their was no way for me to clear opponents moster. I had two monsters face down, a level 3 and a lvl 4. Opponent had 2300 LP and i was down to 1000. Opponent went for the level 3 and next turn i draw a level 4 which i used to xyz summon for Number 82 Heartlandraco used a card to boost its attack to 2500 and used Heartlandraco's effect to attack directly and got game

I am doing a master duel masochist challenge myself and sometimes the funniest stuff happens. I went first and set fencing fire ferret, opponent played egyptian god deck and went ham on the winged dragon of ra, using the effect and ran into the ferret, then blew up the ra and won via the 500 burn of the ferret effect XD

Cimo, if you put in Adhara you can make X-Saber Wayne, which is not only a 2100 beater but also can potentially trigger since you have a noble knight and suprex in your deck

Masochist format is such an amazing thing. I started mine and got my first win via having 2 triamid cards on the same board. My opponent got spooked and surrendered thinking I was playing a legit deck lol.

Not having your battle phase auto skip with your turn in MD is really weird. If I played a Runick card in paper and passed my next turn, then went combat on the following and my opponent went "nuh uh you didn't declare your skipped battle phase" I would flip the table...

You should pick an unplayable extra deck card to craft and use it as the "masochist flag" like an obscure unplayable vanilla fusion, to mark your deck as a "masochist deck" and be able if it spreads to recognise fellow masochist when checking their decks

Love the joy of Cimo finding Dust Tornado xD I'm also glad that he IS aware of Kendama's revive effect, now. However, he should probably still do some changes in the list... -Krebons is an excellent addition, it would be way more useful than Vylon Ohm -The Runick fusion should be added in the extra deck as a way to generate a Level 4 body that can also do removal, as many people have suggested. -Level Resist Wall is probably way easier to resolve than Summonite. It can even summon floaters. It can get you Gouki Riscorpio if you summon Suprex and let it die for example. Summonite should just go, it's too difficult to use at this stage. -Dimensional Allotrope is a level 1 Tuner and can be protected from battle once you know the matchup you're facing. -if not Allotrope, Adhara is just a free body for a Tribute and also a tuner. I'm also noting that Cimo does have a huge number of machines. Maybe later on, when we will inevitably need to create more and more synergy in the deck to keep climbing (rather than just playing whatever good cards we find), Machines could be the direction we lean towards.

Fun fact about morphtronic staplen mainly cause this situation would almost never would come up but I played a a lot of morphtronics back in the day. If staplen is attacked while in def and for some reason it cannot switch a monster from attack to def ex: heavy samurai or link monsters it’s effect actually won’t even trigger so it just becomes a monster that can’t be destroyed in battle while in def mode. Rare situation but funny it came up this episode.

53:58 - Actually, since Utopian Aura summoned it with its effects negated, the opponent wouldn't have been able to imperm even if they wanted to. And if its effects WEREN'T negated then it would've had targeting protection because the only effect dictated by using Morningstar as material is the board wipe.

36:09 Isn't Brain Golem crazy good as a 1 tribute summon or am I dumb? At 2500atk it matches a lot of lower end boss monsters, "light" is still an incredibly popular attribute so there is a good chance the negate would happen, and if it did you can attack once again. As such wouldn't brain golem be better than Mist Archfiend?

I guess Cimo prefers Mist Archfiend for the fact it can be summoned with 0 tributes if needed? Golem is stronger but Mist can just be the equivalent of a removal spell. I would probably play both honestly.

@@doubl2480 which is a valid point in the sense of not needing a tribute, but between MK3, Mist Archfiend, and Gouki Rescorpio Cimmooo only has Diabound and that pendulum dragon that needs a tribute. If dropping any other 4+ monster is too difficult I have to imagine adding the brain golem would be perfectly acceptable, especially considering all the trap monsters he has for tribute fodder.

A lot of the matches you can see him stuck holding onto multiple that he hardly ends up using, If he wants to win more and get out of gold he needs more heavy hitters like that brain golem
