I called the police on my wife. She hit me over my 7 years of marriage. I finally called the police and threw her a$$ in jail. That was the end of the marriage. I was close to my limit and did not want to define myself like that. So off she went in handcuffs. Happy to report now I am at 17.5 years of blissful marriage with my 2nd (and final) wife.

The thing that really bothers me is the women cheering as he's describing being hit and having his stuff destroyed. Seemingly oblivious about the fact that it's only the restraint of the guy that prevents them from being flattened. Being violent to someone who has essentially disarmed themself is nothing to be proud of, or cheer about.

Hilarious, but also accurate! I am a female that is guilty of acting that way and my man did send me to jail fast af. The cops were "embarrassed for him" and that's why men don't usually do it. You have every right and I'm always sorry ❤

it's unfortunately very common still. Women had to face doubt like that for years and are only in recent years starting to come out of it, but I don't think we're at a point where men are also there. Sometimes the belittling comes from women, sometimes it comes from other men. It teaches you to lock up your emotions and personal problems because it's easy to assume that people just won't care.

@somersetcace1

I agree with you, however, there is a social stigma that still exists. I realize this is an extreme example, but just to illustrate the point. Lets say you're out in public with your wife or girlfriend and some strange guy approaches you and says, something along the line of "My God is that thing ugly! Where do pick that warthog up from?" You gonna be the bigger man and just walk away or defend your woman's honor? A lot of women, whether they would admit it or not, would feel less of you if you walked away. It's a social thing that has not been eradicated. So, yeah, assault is assault, but in the immortal words of Kenny Rogers "Sometimes you gotta fight to be a man." Not saying it's right or wrong, just a reality.
@chrisf.7980
@chrisf.7980 2 жыл бұрын
I understand your point, there.is a double standard in society which is one of the things Bill Burr is so good at pointing out. But I can say as a woman myself, I am horrified at watching violent behavior & would NEVER want to see my guy involved in it just to defend my "honor." Sticks & stones, as it were. Defending yourself in a physical assault would be understandable, but I would do anything to avoid having things escalate to that level.

I'm saying this in an expressive way so please don't be offended by the language ahem* honestly I kinda don't fucking care anymore. All this 'lets not touch each other' unicorn googoo gaga baby bullshit has made us weak as fuck. Men have been tolerating with this bs for too long. Its time we put down the boot and knock some idiots down a few pegs. Cuz too much stupid has been bred and fed in society that's led us to the current chaos we have today. When I was a kid i was very sensitive and emotional and i was a damn better natural SJW than the garbage there exists today. Nowadays, I've lost most of that patience and I tend to speak my mind a bit more freely. There are times when violence is not preferred, but necessary. Be a fucking man and be the devil in society's eyes, or you're just as bad as bad parents who threaten without follow up punishment. I think avoiding violence is prob best if you can help it. But if there's a schmuck who just wants to be an asshole for no reason, people need to be put down. Hard. Either by words and intellect or fist. But if your words are wasted on evil demonic spawns, just walk away. If they are oppressing you or others, do the right thing, and put them in their place, and don't give a damn what society thinks. The world's run by absolute clowns and we run on this "lets be fair but as sensitive as we can to the upmost limit so we don't look bad because clearly looking good matters more than doing good"
@david2869
@david2869 2 жыл бұрын
And it's not just defending her "honor". You see the response to violence being different to whom is doing the violence. They have done experiments where if the man is being violent to a woman in a public place, strange men will come to her defense and attack him or at least restrain him and women will look on disapprovingly or act out verbally. On the other hand, if a woman is being violent toward a man, nobody will do anything and it will often be met with laughter and snickering. So if a man hits a woman, she doesn't deserve it and it's his fault. if a woman hits a man he must have done something to deserve it and it's his fault. That's the double standard.

I knew a guy that got away with hitting a women. She literally grabbed him by the balls, and threatened to tear them off, and he decked her. The cops didn't even charge him when they showed up because he was wearing shorts and they could see the bloody trails up his leg from her nails when she went for his his balls. So there is a line that can be crossed.

An example of my own is me and my brothers boxed, we got into fights with each other.. And of the maybe 3 times out of the hundreds we fought that were serious.. did we actually wish to harm each other.. out of anger, but never vitriol. Not many are being taught right because most of them were raised by a single mother. Even if they have fathers the culture and system indoctrinates them in feminism, socialism and man hate. No father in the house turns them into ladies of the pole and riders of the pole most of the time to two and three digits. Eighty percent of divorce is started by women and for selfish petty reasons, it's usually not his choice. Mothers teach their daughters their hypergamy. Social media, blessing and curse that it is, is exposing this behavior more and more and women are snitching on themselves all the time on the platforms. Don't ever get involved with another one stay free the laws are not on your side. Marriage is a three way contract, you, her and government, and you're on the bottom. When you marry she's not necessarily going to divorce you but she has all the advantages and support of her partner in government to do so if she wishes. It's like playing Russian roulette with four of the six chambers full only she's been passed the gun by government to put against your skull. And she can pull that trigger whenever she wants, and gets cash and prizes for breaking up a family. Men are waking up, building themselves up. It sucks that you had to have your life up ended but if your a smart fellow can work on yourself and control your biology, you're going to find as you build up again that life, your one precious life, is better without them. @@paulvamos7319

My sisters remember [as do I ] when they would hold me down, pinch me, punch me and pull my hair. When I was eventually freed I would lash out and hit the nearest tormentor. "Daddy, Rob hit us". I was then given a whooping for hitting "the girls" Sad, but true. I have never hit a girl or woman since. To their detriment, they never learnt not to provoke a guy to violence. As a cop in the Seventies in Philly, we very rarely locked anyone up for domestic violence. They gave us the discretion then to decide whether or not an arrest was warranted. 99% of the time we told the guy to 'walk' or if drunk we'd put him in the tank till' the nex' shift came on. The reasoning? 98% of that 99% would be back together the nex' day and refuse to press charges. Want more reasoning? We may have had 4 or 5 'Domestic' calls waiting, any one of them may be worse than the one we are handling. An arrest takes one off the street for hours... too much stuff goin' on in North Philly to not be on the street. (That discretion was later taken away by Pennsylvania Law... if any mark of violence is seen, the unmarked gets arrested... even a scratch. Ridiculous.)

I was being attacked by an ex once. I tried to leave after the first 3-4 minutes of feeling her mood, knowing an argument was coming, didn't wanna go through that AGAIN and the kids upstairs would be upset AGAIN. But she convinced me to stay, said she'd cooked us a meal, etc. Half an hour later she's screaming in my face, finger in my face. So I put my shoes on, she locks the door and hides the key. Locks the back door too. I'm trying to calm her down, she's screaming crying, kids upstairs are crying, she won't let me leave, she grabs a broom thing and starts smashing me over the head with it in the kitchen. I put my hands up and deflect it, the broom comes down on my shoulder (collar bone) and draws blood, my white T-shirt turning red, and she isn't stopping. So I did what I had to do. I grabbed the broom thing, threw it aside, grabbed her and flung her on the kitchen table and held her down and told her calmly, but loudly ... "Touch me again, and I'll kill you. Stop.". She closed her eyes, and I walked into the living room, opened the living room window, and left into the pouring rain and walked 6 miles home with only one shoe on. Lot of thinking time on the way home. She called me as soon as I got home and told me the kids were screaming, beside themselves, and I need to go back and make it right with the kids. THATS the game some women play. Unreal. And if I'd so much as hired a lawyer to try to ensure custody of the kids if I left her, the lawyer would LAUGH in my face and say "You're a MAN! You have ZERO chance! Unless she is diagnosed with a mental illness, has a drug habit OR beats the kids! Other that this, you have zero chance.". I know that, because I asked a lawyer friend who I went to school with.

I think I won the jackpot because my fiancée and I can sit beside each other for hours in silence. Also, I've been off work for 2 years so far due to disibility, and she's doing her best to provide for the both of us. Meanwhile, I do my best to be a house husband and take care of the animals and clean as my body and mental state allow. I also grew up in a household where my step mom was verbally, psychologically, and physically abusive to my father and he couldn't do a single thing about it. He would drink constantly as a way to deal with his depression and abusive relationship and because he believed nobody would believe him because he's a man. She would also gaslight me constantly for as long as I could remember, up until about 7 years ago, where I finally got away. One time, they were both drunk, I went downstairs because it was dinner time and my fathers face was bleeding and his glasses were on the floor. She scratched the hell out of his face, and then proceeded to yell for someone to call the cops while he was on the ground, in fetal position, trying to defend his head. He finally got up, told her not to touch him again, or else he'd hit her back. She didn't listen and went after him and he pushed her really hard to the ground. The cops showed up and he hopped the back fence and was missing for a few weeks as she pressed charges against him, even though I gave my testimony to the police of what I had seen, she still was able to convince the cops she was abused and the victim. Sorry for the long message, and to those who have read this, thanks for your time and I hope nobody is ever in a toxic relationship like that, and if you are that you're able to talk to someone and get away from them.

Haha.. hey man.. watched many of you're videos with you and Bill B.... you are awesome.... the way you think just reaffirms to me that we people are just people.... I'm just a smelly Canadian truck driver... that has rolled around north America for years... I love people.. and I think 99% of us are all the same .. ( I wish it was 100% ) is funny.. when I first heard Bill b .. I laughed but felt guilty for laughing... but quickly it seemed to me that he is rough and funny.... but there is no hate... he does such a good job of vocalizing the crazy world we live in:) . Thank you for your videos and you're outlook on life 👍

This is so true. If men did what women do they would have a mob chasing them. We have 2 sons and a daughter. Now we taught our sons not to put there hands on a girl and there. I told them if a girl puts there hands on them they r to walk away and press charges. Unless she has a weapon of any sort u get urself to safety. My daughter realized that she can hit her brother and he won’t hit her back. My son asked us why is it ok for a girl to hit a boy but a guy hits a chick he goes to prison. He was about 14-15 when he asked us. I told him it’s not ok, but the difference is a man’s muscle mass bone density a woman can slap the shit out of a man and ya it might hurt , but it’s not gonna damage her. If a man hits her back u don’t understand ur strength and u can kill her , knock her mouth and if she hits her head or u fracture her skull ur going to prison. Now my daughter every-time she hit her brother he got a dollar he was rankin it in until that Friday he got all her allowance and she was crying. We’ll keep ur hands to urself and u would have ur money u chose not to and these r the consequences for ur choice. One day ur gonna meet a guy at the store where ever and he may not have been raised to respect women u u put ur hands up ur gonna get ur ass beat. So I’d rather u learn this way then that way. Keep ur hands to urself. If the real world unless u can fight and hit like a man keep ur hands to urself. Problem was solved.

I've been down that road where I needed to call the police on my now ex gf for striking and choking me. She went as far as to start harming herself with a bread knife while I was outside waiting for the officers to arrive. Tried to convince the officers I was the aggressor! Thankfully my story and the recorded 9-1-1 call outlined what was really happening behind closed doors.

I don't think the Philly rant is a good choice early on the Bill Burr journey, IMHO. Personally, if I had seen the Philly rant before I had a chance to understand him & his comedy better, I may never have given his stand-up routines a chance. Now that I am a total fan & listen to his podcasts (and his explanation of the event), I have compassion for him as to what happened there. LOVE Mr Bill Burr!

Well . . . . my parents did tell me at a young age that I shouldn't slap my brothers . . . .only to, years later, when my brothers hit me tell me to my face 'What did you do to make him hit you?' The underlying rule in my parents house was- they can hit me, I can't hit back because I'm a girl. And boys are better than girls. Which, I have been trying to shred off me since. No one is better than me, I am no better than anyone else- but don't think for a minute that you can hit me and get away with it. I may not hit you back, but I'm sure as hell, out that damn door if you do. So, my experience is this: if you get physical with someone, even the slightest, be prepared for them to physically get defensive- they would have the right to because you're getting physical.

My brother got beat and bruised by his girlfriend, because he wouldn't fight back because you don't hit women. He called the cops, they basically laughed at him and told him to be a man. It happened again, same result. Why didn't he leave? Cuz he didn't want to leave his son. Third time it happened when the police showed up she made sure she was holding the baby and claimed that he had pushed her while she had the baby in her arms, so she was only defending herself and her baby. And now he's got a felony on his record. It didn't matter that there was a history of abuse, because he was a man and she was a woman, and women can't beat up men. Now, I will say that it seems that it happens more the other way where the men beat up their spouses, but who would know with cops like ignoring when men call the police. Goes back to antiquated ideas of gender roles, men are supposed to be strong and women are supposed to be wilting flowers. Women can be just as tough as men or tougher. I think our presenter is spot-on, teach your kids not to hit anybody male or female.

someone has to say it out loud, so we can be exposed, even if just to ourselves, for harbouring some of those thoughts, even if 'innocently'... the dark truths are buried within all of us.. its good to have a spotlight light 'em up once in a while, and, if it takes humour, to make us listen to the message, so be it.👍🏼✌🏼🇨🇦
