@@djhero0071 I've been in a similar situation a couple of times, and of course you can despise someone who keeps winning over you (specially if done so in a dirty cheap way), but for me always was mainly about proving that I could overcome such "strategies". Pride and determination are real motivators.

I think the feeling of despising someone comes from teabagging/straight disrespect and top tiers (like Phoenix in UMVC3). The losses themselves sting but that’s more of a “me” problem than anything.

I think MVC3 broke these characters open. When I watch the lie tiers it’s almost like watching an mvc3 match in terms of combo optimisation and assist utilisation.

sadly, the top tiers will continue to dominate. flashy combos and one touch kills are not enough to make the ground up, but at least they have new material to work with

the purists would boycott a rebalance. They'd say not being able to run 99 secs with storm/sent and call commando against 95% of the cast "just isnt marvel"

It would have to be done very very carefully so it doesn't lose it's essence. And even with that the most probable thing that will happen is that most players will keep playing the original over the balanced version anyway. There would be basically 2 different mvc2 communities with completely different people that will stick to one of the two almost exclusively, usually the newest one ends up being much smaller in the long run while the old one remains to be the one with the biggest playerbase, we are talking about 10 times bigger. Examples of this happening are KOF 2002 and 98 against their UM and UMFE counterparts. I think for it to work they would have to entirely change the game for the better in every aspect possible other than balance so there is little reason to play the old one. I think ST HD remix tried that but wasn't enough, fightcade is hard to beat, i mean, it's free.

The rebalance is the MVCI tag mechanics.

Also, I love how you Lowkey go thug sometimes it’s hella unexpected. I went to EVO in like 2000 and something and played with Jill, not knowing what I was in for and never had internet, no fightstick, no nothing growing up and I won my first 2 fights then got destroyed. I learned very quickly I was playing the game wrong after watching you play that year. Thanks for everything brotha you do more than you think you do!
