An excellent bass that can hold it's own anytime, anywhere with any bass! Bold statement but it's true. Paired with a premium bass amp, I believe you could eq your way in and out of any situation.

Nice video, thanks !!! I’m a lifelong pro player and I own three Mikro 4 string bass’s and three Mikro 5 string bass’s, I also own three Sterling short scale Stingray bass’s. All my long scale P-Bass’s are collecting lots of dust, I’m totally into short scale bass’s these days. ALL of my four string bass’s are setup as BEAD, I use the DR Extra Bright short scale strings, a 125 on the low B. The DR strings fit all my short scale bass’s perfectly, I buy the 5 string packs and the G strings go into the garbage can. One of my weathered black 4 string Mikro’s I upgraded with Gohto tuners and a Kickass bridge, that upgraded Mikro is definitely awesome. I also put black vinyl on all my headstock’s so no one sees the Ibanez or Mikro logo’s, it’s fun having other musicians ask me what kinda bass is that and who makes it (lol) Cheers, Davyo

I have had one for years. Mine is black with a maple finger board. It still has the original strings that just won't die! I've used it on gigs too!

I got one as my first "real" bass after a bass ukulele. Completely happy with it!

Very helpful review. Thank you. Are you able to tell me please how it balances on a strap. Does have the typical short scale bass neck dive?
@GaryLet28 күн бұрын
It does not have a neck dive.

EQ is ridiculously powerful. People really don’t know how to use a fully parametric EQ.

Hello! Could you tell me how much this Ibanez weighs and what is the length of the neck? Not the beaker, but the neck itself with the head. I will be grateful for the information!
@rushkiss20125 ай бұрын
From what I read , scale length is 28.6 and 6.9 LPS

Manufacturing quality on these is a bit sus. All three pickup pieces (the J and both P splits) are very slanted. My J pickup is so slanted and even with screw at maximum on the G side and minimum on the D side it's still a litttle bit slanted. The J Knob is deep, almost grinding into the body, the output jack is already super loose after just 3 days. Just two months ago I bought a 300 dollar budget Ibanez guitar and it also is full of problems, although much worse. The knobs are super fast, like they have zero resistance. One was grinding in the body pretty hard and the other was elevated. The guitar will not stay in tune no matter what, and it also cannot be intonated. I suspect a bad nut at this point. I have never owned any Ibanez products in 22 years of playing guitar/bass so this is not a good start.

Personally I can't stand rosewood. It's too porous, picks up dirt and doesn't look as good as maple or ebony (or resonite, which was on my first bass and made not one iota difference to the tone).
