@davidpenwell3432 Wrong? He wrote that intro part, dude - he can alter it if he wants. And drop D and open D were common blues tunings before they were used in rock and metal - learn music better before acting like a know-it-all.

I love David Lee Roth, I have since day one. What a genius nutball. He could put a band together, I''ll tell you that. Ray Luzier from KORN played with Roth for 6 years on tour. Brian Young on guitar ...not too shabby. I do think that when Dave did that bleach job on his hair in '01 it was the beginning of the end for He burnt the sh(t out of it ;-) ....OH well, in my day..and still in my mind, the best Frontman....EVER. ;-)

Brian Young, the lead guitarist here, played in various local bands based out of Ventura, which is near where I grew up. He also gave my best friend guitar lessons when he was 16. Great guitarist.

I see comments criticizing his guitar playing. But these comments do not get it. This is show business. David Lee Roth gets it and has always got it, which is why he has been so successful. It is the attitude he brings with his performance that has made him so successful, not necessarily his musical skills. This is the number one rule of show business - entertain the people and make them happy. This takes lots of energy, which is why many people don’t make it in show business even though they are talented.

I went to three shows on the Sam & Dave tour in 2002 and , I don't know, I went with an open mind, but I'm a realist and I can honestly say that Dave kicked Sammy's ass every time and most of the people that were all around me thought so as well.

Agreed .... saw them @PNC in Jersey ..... Roth opened and nobody sat down the entire time .... so much energy and adrenaline .... Hagar came on and sucked the life right out of the place. Most people left after 5-6 songs. No comparison .... Dave blew Sammy away !!! Like you said .... everyone was in agreement.

Yep. You can tell Dave has a conviction for his job. Sam wants to get to the beach and drink tequila. He’s a businessman. Dave is the more true artist

Idk, I saw VH five or six times, and Roth just got annoying after a while. Eddie was Van Halen, period. Roth was always the douche who thought he made the band, but in reality, he was just along for the ride. Never saw them with Hagar, but I did see them with Gary Cherone, smfh. That dude was pathetic. He looked Peter Pan in his little green suit and danced and around like Tinker Bell. It was really, really bad! Then, I guess even worse was when they brought Roth back. He was beyond horrible. They should've had Wolfgang front the band in the end.

People always talk bout EEAS line-up but this is one helluva band too. Young does the Eddie thing better than Vai (who I love) and Luzier is one the greats in modern drumming. And I assume it`s Tod Jensen on bass -another cool musician with killer groove.

Dave the legend, I was at a concert in Dublin back in the day and he forgot the last verse of a song and i was up the front and i shouted up at him i know it and he and the guitar player looked down and i shouted up at him and he got it, my claim to fame

DLR has always been like the greatest, most extravagant, well liked TV wrestlers in history. A mini version, but with all the energy and expressions. Mini Ric Flair and Rowdy Piper, and the jumps of James Superfly Snuka.
