Cube and Em have been friends since the beginnings of his career, at least since before 8 Mile, since Cube was the one who gave him advice about transitioning from rapping to acting in the first place. It's just a matter of finding the right sound that works for both of them, and their styles are pretty different nowadays

I cannot make this up!.... I got to the point in the interview where Cube was talking about people being made to be sheeple and being distracted by things like TV and Xbox, and then suddenly the power goes out for a good 10 seconds while I'm on the 'Box 😂😂😭😭😭!! He's absolutely right though, it's alot of distractions out there that really keep us from being as open and aware and as focused as we could be.
