I really really loved X and Y even though they were one of the weakest games. The plot was awesome and I loved the more adult player characters. I wish we would've gotten Pokemon Z or at least X and Y 2...

This was enjoyable. X & Y had so many bizarre elements, and touched on all of them. Subscribed.

This was the Generation that I got back into Pokémon (after having not played since Gen. II lol), so it has a very special place in my heart. I honestly miss these days a lot - when the 3DS was still alive and thriving. I miss going to McDonald's with my friend just to get some StreetPass(es?) lol. I miss the daily Mirage Spots from ORAS. I miss the Super-Secret Bases, the PGL, and Mega Evolution. I miss all that stuff... *_especially_* the Pokémon Z that we never got. I miss that one *a lot* lol! 😭 Man... these were some really great times. Awesome video, my friend! 🙂

Yeah we all know the alien plot line makes too much sense to be fake. Another point that supports this idea is Zygarde. It's always cited as the pokemon that defends the environment, but its actual role in the story is never clear, neither in the 6th or 7th gen games or in the anime. If the plot, instead, was the alien one it would make sense to have the Zygarde be the one that will protect Earth from the machine of destruction and from Xerneas and Yveltal.

Kalos has so many weird detaols and underdeveloped lore points. I hope a future remake fpr Legends Arceus-style Kalos game will expand on it

Great video! It’s actually crazy how undercooked XY were, while it began pretty much all of my problems with current Pokémon, I did still quite like the game and the region. After whatever they do for the gen 5 remakes, looking really forward to the gen 6 ones.

Another great video! It feels like there was a lot of really weird stuff and lost potential in XY. It almost feels like they would have been more in line with the serious tone of gen5 originally, and maybe had a hard pivot to the much softer, casual-oriented game it released as. That would explain a lot regarding the rush to get it out the door.

I have a theory with the catchable legendary Pokemon (like Mewtwo) and why they can be caught in future games even though the previous protagonists caught them. Basically I think that they are so powerful, they can just leave whenever they want. So you catch them and they willingly fight with you until they get bored and decide to leave I guess

The decrease of the difficulty in newer Pokémon games are like double edged sword and lack of good post game content may be good and bad depending. Some Pokémon player would like to play a difficult challenge in form hard-normal gameplay in both gyms,elite four and battle tower for more expirced players. For newer/inexperienced who don't want extreme hard gameplay and challenges may get bored because of it. and for ingame reasons in older Pokémon games were kinda hard depending in many factors such the choose Pokémon you use and older Pokémon and moveset not being overpowered with very high sats and level up moveset with no overpowered stab options.

Not having a pokemon Z is one of pokemon's biggest mistake imo. That was the beginning of the modern GF trend of pumping out games on a strict timeline. They wanted to put out new games (gen 7) for its 20th anniversary. Which is dumb because pokemon Z, a 3DS pokemon game, woulda been on point and probably coulda been up there with emerald, platnium and B2W2 as far as best games go while being a good bookend to two decades of pokemon. They never get it right the first time, the third version always helped remedy that. Idk they f****d up. Hated X & Y when it came out (I preordered it after B2W2 and stopped playing after the first gym since it was stupid easy) but its aged really well and I appreciate a lot of aspects of it now. That said ORAS really carries gen 6. My favorite remakes but keep in mind my soulsilver glitches out when i enter Ilex forest. Loved FRLG as a kid but so far (without finishing HGSS) ORAS ate my favorite remakes. Love the mega latios/as as a way to fly around the region. Im also biased since I love Hoenn the most so to have a Hoenn game with some of my favorites added like Volcarona, Dragalge, Garchomp, Ho-oh, Froslass and others is amazing. Just wish they had the battle frontier. I really dont think GF fully acknowledges their western audience and they make games primarily for Japanese children whereas the majority of their fanbase is 20/30 year old Americans and people from western europe. You see this in how they distribute mystical pokemon solely in Japan too in the post-Gamestop/handheld system pokemon era. I always felt like Legends Arceus was them throwing a bone to the older, western fan base. A "darker" (LMAO) and more mature (also LMAO) game for aging pokemon fans. I dont think they realize we're their bread and butter. But they also make most their money of merch and the TCG so they can afford to half ass the games which sucks for older fans i.e. the people with actual purchasing power.

kalos deserve a proper good and COMPLETE game, like the speculated Z version or atleast a good remake in a near future, as we get closer to remakes from gen 5 i bet in a near future we can have a remake and with my big expectations i wish isn't a 1:1 remaster and a remake with much more content.

3D models don't make the use of different poses obsolete, its just that Gamefreak doesn't put that much effort into these games, and the console may also be a contributor. Pokémons with unique posesm great models and vibrant colors aren't impossible in 3D at all, but there is a reason for why these games are dissapointing in some ways

X and y is the best Pokemon game and you cannot get me to think otherwise

There are two things that make me particularly sad regarding Gen 6: the "we MUST make it easy and remove the very post game optional content that fans loved back in the day" (ie, removal of Battle Frontier) and retconning Mega evolution into something that causes extreme pain into the Pokemon (after initially going "oh the strong bond between Pokemon and its trainer allows it to become stronger!")

You missed out on the trans NPC that you can encounter in the Battle Maison. Beauty Nova implies in her dialogue that she was previously a Black Belt, and a Black Belt NPC is only reserved for males. By all accounts, she is canonically a trans character and so far the only one in the core games.

The "people are busy" logic is so surprisingly tone deaf for the higher ups of TPC... If this was true, games like BoTW, Dark Souls, Skyrim, DOTA etc. would not be profitable at all... Nowadays people have proven they will buy whatever shit TPC releases, no matter if they already know it will be disappointing, so this would be true as well for a "hard" game. People will still buy it because it's Pokémon. At the end of the day it wasn't a tone deaf comment or a mistake, it's an excuse to make less effort knowing that people will buy the game anyways.

Yeeaaaah... as someone who grew up with the sprites since pokemon red, going 3D was the right choice. People will complain about change no matter if its good or not. Now the lack of difficulty has only gotten worse... it's why I dropped Pokémon Scarlet, and didn't enjoy Sword and Shield.
