Iceland Travel 4k: Hiking at Pakgil

Күн бұрынThis 7th day of our trip around Iceland was dedicated completely for doing an actual hike at Pakgil. The trail leads to an impressive sight at a glacier, dropping over a steap cliff.
The space has many waterfalls coming from the glacier and every now and again ice drops over the cliff onto the slopes below. While being close to the golden circle, the trail is difficult to reach and does not attract the masses of tourists you will find at other attractions.
We highly recommend taking this break from the masses and to enjoy one of our favorite places in all of Iceland.

Iceland was by far our vacation with the most breathtaking moments. The country is just incredible. We are glad you enjoyed this one. The experience at the glacier was one of our favorite moments.

I am sure from your videos that you would have loved this one. So peaceful. The first km or so still had people from the campground. But at the main attraction, we couldn’t spot anyone else. Thank you so much for watching 🙏

Well. I guess you can never cover Iceland in full in one trip. For us, this was sure one of our highlights. Especially if you care more for the lonely experiences. Iceland is one of the places where I immediately would go again.

The Pizza is really something you have to enjoy without thinking of Pizza 🤪. It was so different. This glacier drop of is my personal favorite of our entire trip. It was so serene, sitting there and marveling at the sight. So glad you enjoyed our work 😊

Hi, HFH. What's a beautiful trip! I have never been to Iceland. The scenery is totally different, with crisp air,. Her maile is always natural and welcomes us. The watercolor from the waterfall is impressive. Yes, that is for the info about the trail markings. Appreciate you coming to the beach I have a strong passion for it. Trailmarkings are really something I got too used to. In so many other places outside of Switzerland I ended up surprised and was glad for the gps on the phone. Thank you so much for watching ☺️

@@HikeForHappiness I liked the beauty of pristine nature. I liked that humans weren't there. Mankind, who ruined everything, would definitely ruin those places. Among the wonderful views, I liked the waterfalls flowing under the glaciers and the rainbow formed. Thanks for sharing my friend..

@@TravelingWithSaint34 fully agree, I enjoy loneliness much more than overrun areas. I can’t enjoy nature if there is 10k people around. It just adds to much noise. The waterfall with the rainbows, we spent so much time just watching…

The full loop is 15km / 9mi. It should take around 5-6 hours, plus a long wait to enjoy the glacier ☺️. Perfectly fine as a day hike without staying at the campground.
