In Bleach? If you meant the impact of the transformation is what left you speechless, then yes. But if you meant in terms of the look of the transformation in this season, then I will put both of his and Number 2 transformation (the king) in the same level. Idk, but that one just looked crazy and scary in a good way. 😗

Ulquiorra is the perfect opponent for Ichigo and Orihime. Their powers fluctuate so much based on their confidence levels compared to every other character in the series, he figured out shit talking against Ichigo and gaslighting Orihime is the most reliable to deal with a bunch of emotional teenagers.

I always like to see Ulquiorra as not Ichigo's opponent but rather Ichigo *and* Orihime. Both of them challenge Ulquiorra's world view and that's why he is so adamant in breaking their will instead of simply killing them both.

@@gabrieldossantos1116 I wished the series highlighted it more but Orihime can bring back Grimmjow's arm that was completely obliterated weeks ago and create a barrier that completely stops Ichigo but struggles to undo damage that Ulquiorra deals to Ichigo. There's a good reason he's always asking her if she's afraid.

The Espada's representation of Death (each member representing a different aspect) was such an interesting concept. Kinda wish Kubo would've spent more time with them (He probably did but who knows behind the scenes). But it's funny, for Ulquiorra even though he's not despair this moment felt like it had the most Despair in the series.

Yeah but I can totally see Emptiness and Despair going hand to hand together. Whish Halibel's aspect were more developed tho, always seemed a bit random to me that none of her abilities correlate to sacrifice.

@@TheIdealofGreed despair is not grief at all lol. Despair means you've lost all hope. Emptiness or Nihilism is the idea that nothing matters meaning you've lost all sense of emotions, ideas and all other kinds of stuff, of which hope is one of them.

I have gotten into so many internet arguments with other bleach fans about how I think Ulqiorra could be one of the strongest Espada due to him having a second release that no one else knows about. And it amazes me the amount of bleach fans that think his second release gives him basically no upgrade.

@@sabu47 People really like Starrk, but I just personally felt his abilities seemed kinda meh lol. Barragan always seemed like the hardest to compare since the only thing that beat him, was himself, but he also feared aizen. So his power was always very hard to quantify

@@JBPVFL barragan is kinda hard countered by people like starrk and ulquiorra who can dish out massive amount of energy in an extremely short period of time, as shown when soifon used her 2nd bankai, barragan can't do anything about it because he can't decay it fast enough, so starrk and ulquiorra can pretty much just overwhelm barragan's respira with their attack

Ulquiorra keeps him alive during the battle for more than just to show him despair. He is also very curious about this thing called a "heart" and why it causes such bravado. I truly believe he is perfect for Ichigos development to face the final battles.

The transforming part. Actually Frieza did this back in DBZ. His 1st Stage (The Tall one) then his 2nd one(alien looking one) he transformed from one to the next with out any prompting. THEN he goes to his final form (The dome head) because he's just showing off. This is all before Goku even shows up. So basically what I'm saying is Ulquiorra is similar to Frieza in this case. Which is cool. Figured I'd let ya know where you may have seen something similar. Ulq is one of the best antagonists in Bleach. This fight and its next parts are fun.

Technically Ulquiorra killed Ichigo twice. He fulfilled what he said at the beginning to get rid of Ichigo but well the following chapters will be very good

Freeza did it from 3rd form to 4th. He had a reason to go from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3, but went from 3 to 4 because he was sick of it.

To paint a picture , in the manga when Ulquiorra released , his spiritual pressure was sooo dense it really felt like it was raining to Ichigo, it was an unreal sensation, he could not believe that was simply just spiritual pressure .

I always found it funny that Ichigo's getsuga tensho is very similar to a zero, and now the cero oscuras ("dark cero" in Spanish) is like the black getsuga that Ichigo fires in bankai mode. (And yes, I know, I've read the manga)

Ulquiorra is easily one of my favorite characters in Bleach. Love his design and lack of emotions. Also Ulquiorra is the only one with a second release.

lmao...Director is expecting an old trope to occur! Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto Shippuuden, Hunter X Hunter, The Getbackers, Bungou Stray Dogs.....anime where the MC either awakens a demon within them to protect someone they care for, or they awaken the demon within when on their death bed and get called out to. Director: Ichigo can't win this, the hollow must be going to take over. Me: that's a copout, main characters shouldn't just have "get out of jail free" cards they can use to push a story forward in a crisis. Bleach had better not do that!

Here is the moment where people are saying Ulquiorra is actually the most powerful Espada, the Secunda Etapa. Is he really ? I mean without spoiling too much, Stark is pretty much a one man army who fights one of the most powerful captain ever and King Barragan is pure destruction in the form of an Espada...Ulquiorra is probably the most balanced of all of the Espada in terms of powers and abilities but he probably is more like 2 or 3 in the real order ! What do you guys think ?

I don't think there's any real way to know, based on what we're shown. But I would think 2 or 3 in second release would be closer to accurate, and 1 would be a stretch.

As much as I love this sequence, I can't help but recognize Ichigo was doing worse against first release Ulquiorra than second. First release he was almost dying with every hit with almost no defense possible, second release it was 50/50 whether he mounted a defense (feeble though it may have been). Does it ultimately matter? Not in the slightest. It's just kind of the issue with going from overwhelming to... overwhelming. Only so much you can do to visually represent jumps in power and at the scale we've been at for a while now it's even harder. I mean... at least as of this episode.

Yup, thats why I don't think it's fair to try to powescale Ulquiorra. With just how much power he showed you might as well say he is omnipotent because we never saw a ceiling to his power. He only ever fought Ichigo and he was overwhelming, the released and was overwhelming and then released again and was overwhelming. That's not really useful to scale someone at all. It's like saying you're the most powerful human because you crushed a beatle. Then when the battle turns it is overwhelming to the other side so even in that it's not really a useful measure.

@@gabrieldossantos1116 Pretty much. Though power scaling in general is pretty pointless. Arguably more in Bleach than any other series because it's pretty inconsistent. Like how strong is Ishida right now? He didn't keep his one off powerup from SS, but he's pretty clearly captain level going by feats in Hueco Mundo. I can accept he got stronger from regaining his abilities, but it's fairly odd to think it was to such a degree as to catch up to the massive leap he got vs Mayuri. I'm having to forcibly stop myself from listing other examples because it'd go on forever. I just call out the Ulquiorra fight because it's awkward within it's own space lol.

This is random he knows the second release is stronger than Ichigo he’s toying with him the entire point is he wants Ichigo to feel despair in a hopeless situation but Ichigo won’t do that. Powerscaling isn’t even the point of this scene you don’t think ulquiorra is trying to kill him quickly here do you?

@@Karma-pq9fi I think within the same fight things went from Ichigo's first fight with Aizen down to Ichigo's first fight with Kenpachi and that is an odd method of making someone despair. The second transformation I can understand being done to try to instill despair but overwhelming Ichigo LESS I cannot. Don't get triggered because the phrase "power scaling" was used. I don't care how strong anyone is, I care that by all metrics we can see, the fight became more manageable when it should have become less so.

How do you watch a scene and completely misinterpret it the whole thing? “First fight with Aizen to his first fight with Kenpachi” you mean the Kenpachi fight where he literally slashes Kenpachi and they both stab each other? Please show me where that happens when ulquiorra uses second release?
