The outlets are "upside down" for safety. If anything falls on what you have plugged in there it is less likely to rip the ground prong off the plug. Standard for industrial and garage areas.

I'll be another person to say that those two outlets on the front are not upside down. Ground prong up is technically the correct way.

Those 110 outlets are not upside-down. We have been doing that for over 15 years in MA. So if its sticking out and somthing falls on it. It will hit the ground not the terminal.

i use white lithium grease on all my box drawer bearimgs,,,comes in a nice spray can with a nozzle,,,,makes them quieter also

The outlets are supposed to be "upside down". Ground on top- so you don't have a short if a screw rolls off the top of the box and lands on the plug.

Late comment...the outlets are turned that way as a safety measure. If they were inverted then if the plug drooped or was pulled out a little then the Hot and Neutral would be exposed. If something dropped down and hit the plug it would contact the Hot and Neutral and could cause damage. This way it strikes the ground and just falls away.

4:33 That is the correct way. The ground is supposed to be up so if anything falls and hits it, the ground prong protects it before it hits the pos/neg and causes a fire. Not sure why it was reverse engineered for every house in the USA.

Keep slamming the drawers shut for 20 years and non of them will work. My snap on is still working after 52 years used 16 7 days a week. And as far as a charging station I have bought three in the past years as needed. And they showed up one day and done a free remote lock install.

LOL, my son was watching a video earlier today talking about the plugs. Technically they are suppose to be upside down. They said the reason is so small children wouldn't relate them to smiley faces and would want to play with them. I personally hate it when they are upside down.

I have the same toolbox. I noticed today that the drawers underneath the icon badge aren’t squared to the black trim on the tool box. on the right side the drawers are flush while on the left side they are in 1/4” in. Do you also have this minor blemish, any feedback is appreciated.

Do not rotate the plugs. The reason it’s installed that way is so the ground is on top and if you drop something between the plug and the socket, like a ruler, it will hit the ground first and not land on the two flat power connectors.

Yo! I got the same setup except I messed up and want to switch my end locker to the other side. I see you had a similar problem. Do left and right come identical or did you just get two lefts by mistake? Also, I know you said you could flip the door, what about the wheels? Wouldn’t the castors have to be on the outside?

ive been looking at buying one of these. do you think that box can be loaded onto a rollback tow truck with 1 side cab attached? or do you think youd have to unbolt it to move it onto a tow truck.

Just saying, put the plug ends are upside like that because it's 1. code for building houses and 2. They do that so if the cord is coming out of the socket and you have say a screwdriver roll off the box or something the shaft of the screwdriver would hit the ground and fall away instead of possibly landing flat and making a positive connection. Obviously that's a very specific situation to happen, but it could happen.

I just ordered five of these with the closet ends and the tops I got one with the chest top one with the work station top got every option available total with was over 600” they are so nice how long did yours take to get deliver mine was a month almost called them to get a refund! Shouldn’t have to wait that long my box was sitting at the local store for over a week before someone delivered it I’m a trucker my wife is also a dispatcher and can get a box truck with a lift gate any day of the week hf logistics needs a wake up call you don’t spend $60,000.00 on toll boxes and make people wait months

Would have been real helpful if you had read the directions wheels on your right cabinet are wrong and the small wheels are supposed to be removed from the side cabinets.
