To people who came across this video and decide to get into modeling because this gentleman is doing this so easily. This is a trap people... I fell for it many years ago... After over 300 kits and thousands of dollars spent on tools and paints... I still love it 😀

Chipping? The B29 came in bare aluminium only, no paint to chip. Stains maybe, but they were expensive birds so they'd be cleaned post ops. IIRC they cost the same as a navy cruiser.
@trafficsignalman
@trafficsignalman 2 жыл бұрын
@@davidharris733 The B-29 was around $605,000 per copy in 1944, the Cleveland class cruisers, commissioned in 1942, were $31 million. Amazing aircraft, it was the first to have "flexing" wings, meaning the wing would flex as it developed lift and transitioned to flight.

@@davidharris733 playing with costs is a fun game, many documentaries like to get the absolutes thrown around to make a bang. No pun intended. I saw The World at War, was pretty good as documentaries go. The B-29 was developed to deliver the nukes from Manhattan Project. The total program cost was $3 billion (1945) which was the most expensive program of the war. The Manhattan Project, which developed Fat Man and Little Boy was only $2 billion. Regardless of the cost or history of the equipment, Plasmo did another great recreation.
