My parents used to be gifted students, I was too. But I feel obligated to follow their steps and every time I don't do something they blame it on my phone or whatever I'm doing. Now my only comfort place are libraries. They make me feel more comforted, because there are many stories I can dig myself into. But every time I finish one, it reminds me of this cruel reality that I'm living. They used to be abused both emotionally and physically, that doesn't mean that I have to follow their steps. if you notice, the order of songs follow the storyline of the folk of the air series. it starts with jude and her sisters getting taken away to Elfhame - where jude and taryn are hated for the fact that they are mortals. this point onwards, jude begins to fight her way through, for if she cannot be better than her haters, she will become so much worse. it ends with her eventually ruling over them all as high queen alongside cardan.
