Күн бұрынPRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle should not make the same mistakes that Prince William and Princess Kate did on their Caribbean tour, a royal expert has claimed.
Harry, 39, is set to make a transatlantic trip to the UK next week for an Invictus Games event without Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess will then jet off together to Nigeria for the next stop on the Invictus Games tour.
The couple will take part in "cultural activities" after they were invited by the west African country’s chief of defence staff.
In Harry and Meghan's first trip to the country as a couple, they will meet service members and their families, according to Nigerian media.
Now, ITV News' royal correspondent Chris Ship has told The Sun's new royals show that Harry and Meghan should learn from William and Kate's experiences while on a tour of the Caribbean.

@Petunia-fl9lu Probably not, I wouldn't be surprised if the Nigerian government and their press would prefer to go along with whole Royal Tour or even a faux Royal Tour narrative. Either sounds better than they are giving Harry and Megan an all expenses paid holiday, sans children again.

The Royal family showed up for the first Invictus Games because they had help organize it. Prince William even gave a huge donation to help it get started. After the first one, the royal family gave it to Harry and as usual with any royal event they backed off so as not to take the limelight away from the royal who is Patron of the event. You never see any other royal infringing on another royals activity.

For the press to treat their trip to Nigeria as an official (i.e. "royal") tour is wrong; they should be treated like any other wealthy tourists. What William calls his wife is his business! Her official title is Catherine, Princess of Wales; therefore the press should call her Catherine. When she is queen she will be Queen Catherine

If she is 43% Nigerian Heritage then Thomas Markle isn't her biological father, and Doria has some explaining to do. So in this case, she has no Irish roots.Unless her mixed race biological father, had some Irish roots,and passed a few (dna) onto Meghan.

Can you journalists please get it into your heads what the term QUEEN CONSORT means! All women who are married to the sovereign are Queen consorts. But every single one has been referred to as Queen. Since Queen Victoria who was Queen Regnant, the Queen Consorts have been Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) and now Queen Camilla. When Charles married Camilla, it was said that she would have the title Princess Consort when Charles became King. At the time it was not known if the public would accept her as queen. Queen Elizabeth II decided she should instead have the rank that is due to the wife of the King which is Queen Consort. It is not a lesser rank than Queen; it is the same. None of the wives of British kings have used the words Queen Consort in front of their name. Queen Elizabeth was not trying to differentiate between calling Camilla Queen or Queen Consort. The choice was between Queen Consort and Princess Consort. I wish someone would write an article and clear this up.

Error: The flag in the videotape is the Bahamian flag; the police officers are Royal Bahamas Police Force officers, and the people are Bahamians (Black, White and Mixed). The clips (.02 and 1.09) were filmed on the island of Abaco, The Bahamas, NOT Jamaica. The Wales' visited the island because it was devasted by Category 5 Hurricane Dorian in 2019. They were welcomed to the Bahamian archipelago.

"If I were...." is grammatically correct. It's one of the few remaining instances of the use of the subjunctive in English. It now sounds a little old-fashioned, true. "I were......" IS incorrect, "If I were/if he were....." IS correct.

@@user-lm2vs1sl3v Yes really! The subjunctive tense is used for hypothetical language. Since he is NOT Meghan or Harry, it is a hypothetical pondering, hence the use of the subjunctive "were." I never learned this as a native English speaker/student in America, but as a Spanish language student in college. The use of the subjunctive is way more pervasive in Spanish, where any element of doubt or subjectivity, or uncertainty overall demands the use of this tense. So for example in Spanish when expressing, "When you arrive, call me," would take the subjunctive because of the uncertainty of the time of your arrival: It is not "Cuando llegAS, llamame," but "Cuando llegUES, llamame." Took learning a foreign language to learn the concept of the subjunctive in my native English.

First of all: the Government of Jamaica arranged the ITIERARY, AND ARRANGED FOR EACH CAR USED IN THE TOUR ARRANGED BY THE JAMAICAN PRIME MINISTER. THE optics were arranged by him -- to make them appear "more Colonial" than ever! For the image the Republican-centrist PM to look prominent.

If yes, it was the Jamaicans who wanted William and Catherine to dress up and stand in the same jeep the the Queen and Prince Philip stood in, waving to the crowd. William was very against it! That said, perhaps you should suggest that Markle tone down the 43% Nigerian because if one looks as her linage - her father is caucasian/Jewish. That would be 50% of her DNA. Whereas Doria, has at least two white great grandparents. How does 43% come into what I just listed above? She also went on record to say she has a Maltese great grandmother for a free trip to Malta. And, as to the then Cambridge's Jamaican/Caribbean tour - the crowds cheered them!

They get the wrong conclusions, and talk, talk, because there premise is wrong. First, determine what kind of tour is it? Because it is private, harry and meghan were invited, by that colonel, seated besides him at the last invictus. Nigeria just joined invictus last year, and then pick up from that.

Think about that. Queen Elizabeth II had *SEVENTEEN YEARS* to make that statement; but, it was Charles who said that only a few weeks before the suffering and dying Queen Elizabeth. I do NOT recall hearing those words from her own mouth, do you? If she felt that way, WHY did it take sooooo looong for Charles to tell us what he said, the Queen said?

I wonder why they felt that way. Are they being treated like they are... May be they need to look at the way they are treating the people in that area. Give Kate a break, yet Harry and Meg don't get a break. A lie is a lie. I would have taken the advice they gave Harry and Meg. They don't address rumors and criticism why they address it now and lie. HYPOCRITICAL! My heart goes out to Kate due to her illness. Now, they have felt the negative attention Harry and his family felt. I pray they have learned a lesson to love and support all.

Prince William and Princess Catherine did a great job in Jamaica. It was the sussex squad and Omid Scoobie that brought the negative attention. Meghan has only been on 2 tours and they both left the Royal Family cleaning up her mess & apologizing for her bad behavior.

Meghan’s great great grandmother was white .. everyone else after that was black so it’s possible that she is 43% Nigerian. Not all black people are dark black.. some are 100% black African and very light

A whole 43% Nigerian (nationality not a race) heritage from the 50% dna she received from her mother,is not possible.She can only be 43% dna if Thomas Markle is NOT her biological father, (and is instead a mixed race man)and Doria will have some explaining to do!!.
