Super sonic mode first appeared one year after super saiyan but was in development before that year. The form similarities are actually a funny coincidence

This is wrong, Super saiyan first appeared in March 11th 1991, Sonic 1 didn't even release until June that same year, Super saiyan not only predates Sonic 2 before they even started development but predates Sonic 1 by 3 months. It is not a coincidence especially since Yuji Naka is a huge Dragonball fan.

@@Tharja-iBW super sonic debuted 1992 exactly a year apart and a game takes time to be released back then so yes it is indeed a coincidence and was in development since 1991. Also, the form is different in general. Super Sonic: 1. Can only be done by 7 chaos emeralds 2. Grants new powers exclusive to the form 3. Can grant invulnerability 4. Can control time 5. No personality shifts Super saiyan: 1. Massive power increase 2. Drawn from actual experience and/or trauma 3. Doesn't need outside items 4. Doesn't grant any powers that couldn't be done prior 5. Doesn't grant invulnerability 6. Increases primal personality thus making the user more aggressive and angry

@@kyryu2890 development of Sonic 2 started immediately after Sonic 1 and even if they did start development of Sonic 2 sometime during Sonic 1's development Super sonic was not going to be one of the first things they developed for the game and would not be far along in development to be thinking of "gimmicks". It was not a coincidence, you're being delusional, it was an intentional reference.
