Actions speak louder than words. If someone genuinely cares about you, they’ll make time for you. I had someone who did, and it was great for a little while. Then, they changed as if I never knew them. They dropped me like I never mattered. It hurt for a while, because I’d see them at work. But it was a blessing for me, because I knew that I wouldn’t want to do the same to someone else, and damage them more. Everyone’s got their own battles and pains. I wouldn’t want to be one of the people to add on to it. Move on, no matter how hard it is. Because once you do, you’ll become a magnet for someone who really cares about you, and you’ll look back at the past and feel happy you went through it. You are worth it. You are enough. Keep going and don’t give up.

Going from an 8 year relationship to then using dating apps (or just dating in general) has single-handedly been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I’ve been ghosted more times than I can count, just because I wear my heart on my sleeve and tell them how I feel. I experienced ghosted by someone. I met her through facebook. We chatted on messenger and she told me that she likes me then all of a sudden she's been cold to me after her ex wanted to get back to her. I’ve bee ghosted recently and it’s killing me, tbh. The longer it goes on, the more confused I feel. I had several really good dates with somebody. Then one day of no contact turns into almost a month and I have no idea why. I didn’t do anything wrong, there was no hint, clue or suggestion this would happen...and it absolutely sucks. You want to keep asking questions and to try and get a response but at the same time you know you should probably leave it and let this bird fly away. It’s difficult as I only had really good times with this person....I know they had a good time too. It hurts your pride, self esteem and confidence. I don’t even hate this person or have negative feelings towards them...I just wish I knew why they felt like I could be dropped like I didn’t matter and with no consideration for how it might feel. If I was an arsehole or rude to them, or we argued or didn’t get on then maybe I could begin to accept and understand being ghosted...but it was the complete opposite.

We've been texting and video calling for almost 4months and i was so excited coz we were making plans to see each other personally but when he was finally back home. Real online friendships or relationships are truly hard to find or maintain, and it is really easy to get attached to them. I believe myself to be very lucky to have found my best friend through there. We have had our ups and downs and we are in a very comfy and healthy spot. Ofc this makes the fear of waking up on day to a blocked pf or being ghosted stronger, but it is minor every day has I get to know this person better day after day. We hope to meet and live together one day, I really wish that to come true.
