I can somewhat get it if it's like, they're literally part of the world building, like seeing an NPC drink coke in GTA 6 would not bother me, would actually be kinda cool, but if it works like KZfaq, get the fuck out. The day that game companies start adding ads to their games would be the day that: -Let’s plays/walkthroughs are ruined -Tournaments would be ruined -Game showcases by the devs themselves are ruined (unless they’re selfish pricks, and only they have access to ad-free versions of their games) -Game companies (and maybe gaming as a whole, that isn’t mobile games) would go into shambles when *_EVERYONE_* starts boycotting everyone they sell, and never bought a single unit of their stuff for a week, to three months straight, resulting into their bankruptcy.

Okay so here's my take on ads on games. If it's a loading screen like ea did with 2k hell naw, but ads like billboards or tv ads on the game world or radios is actually fine in worlds like cyberpunk or gta but never have then in cut scenes or loading screens. Make the ad fit the game and world. Like why would I want an ad to a ford truck in a game like elderscrolls that's stupid, but an ad for like insurance being yelled by an npc whatever I can kill them and not worry about it.

Agreed Adds are for Freemium stuff major company games are already PUSHING IT by releasin half assed Alpha versions linked to online servers the company can shut down at ANY time, and adding DLC on top of that IF I'M PAYING 70$ FOR A FUCKING GAME THAT BETTER MEAN I OWN EVERY MICRO BIT OF IT! otherwise we might as well focus on pirated version romhacks of older, "kinder" games or just pay indipendant studios, sure it's a gamble every time, but it's safer than the rabbithole we going down

Literally the only reason I pay for KZfaq premium is to avoid ads, the moment something better than KZfaq comes along that has no ads I'm leaving and cancelling my premium subscription. There should literally be no reason to pay for what should have been free and videos, at least give us the option to skip every time one pops up.

the only time ads are ok is when they're optional and you get like special rewards or something _if you choose_ to watch them (example being call of duty mobile where ads are in the corner of the home screen and gives you skins from a free draw, from which i got a karambit).
