Hi to you both! I wanted to comment that your video(s) on Lucca really helped me plan a recent trip. I myself do a tonne of research before visiting a new place, and know only to well about going down a rabbit hole of what to see, opening times, where to stay, methods of transportation, what to eat, local customs, traditions, history… the list can be endless! Therefore, I applaud the research you do to ensure your videos are informative and accurate. I think the preparation often gets overlooked and taken for granted by a viewer, and I can only imagine the added pressure on you to film then edit your experience, too - I only need to relay my research to my travelling companions! Please keep doing what you are doing if it brings you joy, and if quality outputs take time, then allow that time and don’t pander to pressure. Thanks to your Lucca video, I enjoyed the excellent Torre delle Ora views to myself and skipped the more crowded Guinigi, had the most fantastic breakfast at Caffe Santa Zita, enjoyed a slice at Pizzeria del Felice for lunch, and had dinner at Trattoria del Guilio. I’ve also just planned a second trip (with my parents this time), so will re-watch your videos for more inspiration and will visit some of the churches this time around. Thanks for your videos, and I look forward to seeing more Italy as you continue on your travels!

Keep doing what you are doing, as you can see people follow your journey through Italy and through life. And show what you want to show, be it it the travels or the daily grind, just stay happy doing it, the enjoyment of the moment is the important thing and the only baggage worth carrying with us forever.

Thank you for this beautiful tour of Italy. I hope you explore it at your own pace and do the things you both enjoy. We are just lucky you are sharing these experiences with your fans. I've always wanted to visit Italy. I can't imagine the work that goes into the making of each video, but thank you, they are all beautifully filmed and it shows your fun personalities. Being monetized and accepting sponsorship may help with costs. I'm sure Italy isn't cheap. Keep living the dream, but take time for yourselves too. Thanks again

I totally understand/agree with you guys! I travel certain times of the year but have my home base, family, and full time job in California so city guide videos are my jam! But you “travel” /live in travel destinations full time! Do whatever makes you happy and I will keep watching and enjoying! Ps: I did find your channel because of your Sicily videos! They are awesome! Thanks!

Totally appreciate your honesty. I love Italy and when I was there last year, I enjoyed seeing the sights but also enjoyed staying for longer in each place to immerse myself more. Ooh, Micha, your face when you bit into your cookie 🤣 I'm with you, if it's not powdered sugar, then what's the point!

I think you two have to stay true to yourselves and what interests you in your life's journey. That will definitely make your videos more interesting. I personally like the idea of seeing what every day life is like for you there and for any of the people you interact with. There are plenty of videos out that show the tourist traps of a location. This is a fun and interesting journey that you two are on and your videos should be a journal of your travels and experiences. Also, I like the videos of you guys going back to your home countries and interacting with your families and where you grew up. You both need time with your families. Micha has lost her father already and her mother is not well. You need to take the time to cherish the time you have with them. If you video some of your experiences - great and if you don't that is OK also. We get one go around in this life. Live it to the fullest, cherish your families and keep up with the great work you are doing. If I had to make one suggestion about your videos - state what month or period of time you are in an area. I know it takes awhile to get the videos together and published but kind of knowing what timeframe you were in an area is interesting as well. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you for the great work that you guys are doing. As a fellow Italiaphile your videos are so entertaining and informative to watch! A few observations after hearing this podcast episode, speaking just from my personal opinion as a subscriber: I wouldn't mind the occasional product placement or two, as long as it doesn't affect the rest of the content. We understand that independent content creators like yourselves need to make a living too, and I will put up with the occasional ad or two if it means that you guys can continue doing what you're doing. While Italy is what attracted me to your channel, I would love to check out related travel videos of South Africa and other places you go to as well, and I would love to have them served to me on just a single channel such as this one, so that it's less of a search to keep track with you guys. It's giving me more aspects of the same travel content, rather than diluting it in my opinion. Just my two cents, hope it helps. Take care and looking forward to more from you guys!

I've been following you guys for a long time, and I keep watching because I really like you as a couple. It is clear from anyone who watches your videos that you are truly in love, and that is so nice to see. No matter what life throws at you, you still love being with each other and you love reconnecting when you've been apart. While you were talking, a thought popped into my head. Your goal as a channel could be to try and show the Italy that others don't. If we want to see and learn about tourist attractions, we can watch many other channels for that. We can also read tour books and cookbooks to learn a lot about the places and food in those places, so my thought is that you should try to show the (geographic) parts of Italy that we're not going to see elsewhere, but also the (cultural) parts of Italy that most KZfaqrs don't bother with. I see a lot of Italian food on KZfaq, especially in places like Rome, Naples, and Florence. To me, that has been done to death. What I don't see a lot of is what a typical day is like for locals in those regions or what their perspective is on the world. There is a fellow KZfaqr in the U.S. named Peter Santenello who loves to travel to different parts of the U.S. in order to meet the people and learn the culture of that area. He spends a lot of time talking to locals, but it is fascinating to learn more about these regions and the people who live there. You're not going to find a guidebook with that kind of information. You could try to do something similar in all of the regions of Italy. I don't know; maybe it's easier said than done. Research and planning are tough, and those of us on this side of a video have no idea how much work went into making it. Regardless, keep up the good work. I love your content. I even love it when things go wrong and you don't edit that part out of the video. I've enjoyed what you have done so far and will continue to tune in. From a financial standpoint, I wonder if it would be more cost-effective for you to do a lot of filming in a region for a month, then go home and edit all of that content for 3 months in the form of regular videos to save money on living expenses while you continue to grow your subscriber base. You need to be in Italy to film, but you don't need to be there to edit, upload, and plan for future regions. All the best, --Lee from Rochester, Minnesota.

Both your reaction and facial expression after biting into the Cavallucci was so funny! 🤣 Micha: Why did you do this to me? This is the worst! Matteo: I like it. Micha: Who does that? Who coats it with flour? Why is it flour and not powdered sugar? Matteo: Dude, keep eating it. That is so good! You have to get to the walnuts! 😂🤣😂🤣 Matteo: I like it! Micha: No, that's the worst cookie I've ever had.
