Somehow this is scarier than the backrooms. The passage is just 1 straight pathway and there is seemingly no way to maneuver around enemies. If they are faster than you, they *WILL* catch you eventually.

Gaslighting: The game. Such a neat concept! I really appreciate the dev's restraint in not throwing in a dozen cheap jump scares. All of the anomalies are super weird "wrong" things that send a jolt up your spine when you spot them. Damn good stuff.

I like how the guide says "turn back IMMEDIATELY" but most people i've watched play this are always like hmmmmmm how far can i go? Then they get reset and question why.

At 16:00, you miss seeing the last door knob. If you pay attention, the door knob is at the centre of the door. That's why it reset it how I know cause I already finished the game still looking for others anomalous in the game

This is just all sorts of nope, but a very well done nope. Indie walking toward the anomalies was making me pull my hair out though, and I literally trotted in place when that tile man started chasing him. The TENSION, man! Uuuugh.

I think part of the issue is you interacted with the anomaly so going back was considered a failed. As it’s once you see it turn around and run.

The entire time I felt tense and afraid but not scared which it did an amazing job making you feel uneasy as hell but not completely scared

The groundhog day platform is so cool, I love that P.T helped start this wave (as much as someone I'm not aware of could have beaten them!). Also really love subtle ominosity within a mundane setting, makes it creepy in a way blatant horror or gore or jump scares can't create and feels less cheap!

The guy running at you that was blending in the wall was the best one. I had a... nightmare? Some kind of unconventional dream, long ago, where I was in a hedge maze that was only waist high. It was dark, but lit up enough that you could still see where you were and where to go. I made it to the final stretch, which was this really long and straight path leading to the exit, and it felt like that part of the dream was coming to an end. Then, I turned and saw a shadow figure that looked odd; if you imagine a black figure with a bright light being shone directly in front of it, and you inverted it so the bright sections were shadow and the black sections just didn't exist, that's what my shadow person looked like. He was just dark highlights and nothing more. Dark highlight bro was suddenly sprinting at me, and it scared me shitless so that I ran towards the exit. Of course, being in a dream, you aren't 100% smart, and the dream me decided to peek back to see where the highlight dude was; closing the gap fast. I ran and ran, and suddenly... The highlight dude just ran right by me, reaching the exit first. He then turned, did a victory dance, and through gestures only, he mocked me for coming in second place. When I realized what it was doing, I woke up and yelled "WHAT THE FU-". I woke up from a nightmare being confused. Not scared, not frightened, not panicked; just completely confused. The guy from the hallway in this game around the 18:48 mark? 100% reminded me of that dream.

I watched so many videos about this game but I honestly never saw the face in the ceiling - nor did I ever see anyone notice it. That's genius!

This channel makes me want to get into horror games more than ever before, seeing how many great interesting games there are, by their story and gameplay. Its also why I think horror genre is amazing.

This is actually pretty good. Alot of them are very subtle including the genuine scary ones but because of that they have really well designed and creative. It would be interesting to even see new levels but would they be able to keep up the variety?

Everyone seems to think the anomalies are time based but I think it's just position...like if you walk past the last door and then go back and look, the anomalies will have started. Anyway, I love the concept of this game and hope someone expands up on it! Anomalies "not found" should be changed to "not avoided."

Traditionally, these "Observation Duty" games have been a one-trick pony: make the player really focus in so that they notice tiny discrepancies, and then WHAM, hit them with something obvious and weird for a cheap scare. This one seems unusually 'forgiving' in that so many of the discrepancies are fairly obvious. Growing paintings and floods instead of "the salt shaker and the napkin switched places" and "the TV remote went missing".

Been in Japan two weeks a week ago, those sounds are just pedestrian green lights. EVERY SINGLE ONE of those chirps and tweets when you can cross the roads.
