Level 0 is supposed to have no monsters because the loneliness, repetitiveness, and confusion is supposed to drive you mad.

I have a theory... The Backrooms can be "Fell" into physically, like clipping through the floor, walking through a wall, etc. But in Backrooms lore; your spirit/soul can fall into them too. My guess? Your character was put into a coma after a car accident. Whilst in this coma, his soul/spirit fell into the backrooms. Hence just fragments of the memory slipping through. The ending? Whilst he was trying to escape the Backrooms, something latched onto his soul "I feel like something is inside of me.". Once he escaped, he didn't wake up, but instead whatever latched onto him took over his body, and painfully so too, hence the pain you can hear. The ending is some sort of entity from the backrooms coming into our world. It is here. It is here. It is here. It is here.

7:36 actually, originally there were NO monsters in the Backrooms, it was just shadows of your past self in the corner of your eye, watching you desperately try to escape, and then Kane made a video about it and now it’s full of monsters

I think we were Timmi, and never left the Caves, but were repeatedly being lead through fake "backrooms" based on other levels repeatedly by REDACTED. Timmi's descriptions seem to imply going through the levels, failing, and trying over. We were probably a member of Annex who explored the backrooms to use it for unlimited storage, power, and lead to a post human society- We were probably ????? on the site staff. Because of our experience with the backrooms working for Annex, it built mental worlds based on those experiences- liminal dream spaces based on different liminal spaces, and use the fact we can't tell what's real or believe that reality is out to lunch in general to make us fall for the illusion. The final level is basically spelling it out: the teleporters weren't real, and we weren't being punished for our sins, but rather being mind'fked by a horror in the Caves. Odds are, if you had refused to do the final puzzle, you would have woken up back at your house with no memory, about to do it all over again. This was all a kind of "training" to get us to perform certain important actions to likely unleash the demon- spinning valves, pulling levers, playing simon, but also to wear down our minds so it could take control- after hundreds of deaths and tries, you'd do whatever it took and not question thing-- and all it needs to do is throw in a jump scare or horror at you if you ever becomes comfortable or too patient. So by the end of the journey, you're tired, hungry, and exhausted, never realizing you've been walking in a loop. The constant visions of REDACTED stalking you but never attacking are just your mind realizing he's in your head ,and feeding you most, if not all of your goals. The treatement of each level as a "level" was meta, as we're playing a "game" devised by REDACTED. By the final level, you're exhausted, no longer thinking clearly, yet can easily perform the tasks you've been doing since the beginning, serving yourself up on a platter mindlessly.

You are correct, there are no known entities in level 0, but there are also no humans other than yourself in level 0, not counting the manilla room, level 0 is commonly known as the tutorial level since it's the original, but also because it is one of the best place to get accustomed to the idea of the backrooms, and just like many tutorials in games, you don't interact with other players during the tutorial

I love how the scares are done in this game. You could easily have one every few minutes or they're that spaced out you almost forget there are scares but you stay on edge at ALL times.

Definitely one of the best Backrooms games with the variety of puzzles, levels, and themes that are different from what most other games are doing

I mean depending on how you want to view the backrooms it can be all of this or its original concept of just those yellow buzzing rooms. Though the backrooms idea has kinda spread to almost an SCP level (albeit much smaller at the moment) when you look at the wiki and see all the monsters and floors people have posted, and those running the wiki apparently used to write SCP's for the SCP wiki.

The whole shaking the pic to develop it, reminds me of the game with the "blue knees" ghost. Where at the end of the game you take a "selfie" of urself hanging in a room above a pentagram looking symbol on the floor. I forget the name of the game at the moment, I'm sure somebody will fill me in. If not I'll come back & edit this once I've found the name of it.

I sometimes forget that you record in a sound proof room but damn. I imagine you still hear some of that outside when a primal terror scream rips through you.
