Wow that makes sense why my local mechanics fail to use rubber head gaskets because they skipping the cure part I think

I wouldn't normally do Gasket maker only for a head on an engine. If I was doing an engine head I would use the correct gasket and I would use gasket sealer. But when it comes to doing metal on metal parts not using a gasket with low heat tolerance then I will just use gas get maker and I will not crush them until they have cured if I was doing ahead I would crush them on to the rubber gasketI would not wait for the carrying process because it is a different mating surface that does not requireDon't much extra padding in between the 2 items like metal on metal

Sounds like a daft question but what about the lost fluid is that just normal oil from the engine or is it transmission oil and where do I refill it, can't find nothing at all about it

The same oil that runs the engine also is in the transmission so it's all one oil. That's the reason why you need to do Oil changes on the regular because there's a lot of debris that comes off the gear package and gets in the oil You don't want that running through the sump or the Piston rings. Always change your oil on time

Trying to get chain cover off 1989, 750 katana but something is holding it on and I don’t know how to get it off

I have a bike like this it acts like it's binding the starter when I put the cover back on but starts fine with it off well other than oil if course any one know what would cause it to do that
