Having a lot of fun with Halo:Infinite. It’s a great game and the movement/grapple feels sooo good. I find myself experimenting with more different weapons in this game than any other Halo game.

I just got into Game Scoop about a month ago, the only podcasts I listened to before this were Unlocked and some NFL podcasts. I gotta say, I'm disappointed in myself for missing Game Scoop all this time. To add to the Hellblade conversation, it's going to be one of the first UE5 games releasing so everything you saw that they said was gameplay, you can probably believe without a doubt considering UE5's power and fidelity. I'm really excited for that one!

I'm really excited for PSVR2 on PS5 to bring VR to the masses in 2022. Pavlov could easily blow up on PSVR2 as "Call of Duty in VR" for the legions of console gamers and that'll help VR continue to become more mainstream. I don't plan on owning a PS5 personally, but PSVR2 is positioned to be a very, very good VR platform and very competitive with all VR options.

I'm the same with infinite. I love the graple hook, but also am playing the game with the battle rifle + a random power weapon since they are so plentiful and ammo refill is easy to get to. Bosses become too much of a drag on legendary without power weapons.

Mark Medina is actually completely correct with the ASMR correlation to Hellblade. If you want an action game, this might not be for you. But if you actually want the psychological thriller that could be portrayed through voices in your eardrums...you just found your game

I came here to see the visuals that were described in the beginning of this episode and my mind was blown because all the voices I have listened to for years DO NOT match their real life faces. But this happens every time I see people who I've only ever heard before. But still... It happened again.

The Sonic Genesis games being difficult is a general consensus? You dudes mention so many 8-bit NES games that I would never have the patience or skill for but the Genesis Sonic games are not that difficult in comparison to say The Lion King, Aladdin, Vectorman, Rocket Knight etc. One is probably the easiest out of all of them, and the only really difficult level in the series I can think of is S2 - Sky Fortress Zone with the ability to fall out of the sky. Metropolis Zone has some cheap shots too when you are stuck on the gears and the little starfish throw their spikes at you.

I hope Babeology is the final boss of the IGN game?

I think Elden Ring is definitely gonna be goty and the best selling game of next year.

Watched the highlights from the awards, I’m still waiting for something to make my jaw hit the floor. I guess I’m jaded being in my 40s and seeing games go kinda stagnant 🤷🏻‍♂️ Edit: I am willing to bet Wonder Woman under performs, even if they make it a great game. Damn shame. Also Suicide Squid game is cool I guess, but I can’t be alone in my disappointment that this is the game that Rocksteady has been working on since Arkham Knight…and I guess I’m just waiting for that next great game that came outta nowhere like Batman Arkham Asylum. Hell! Maybe it’s going to be Wonder Woman!

This may be *spoiler* ish of events leading up to Halo Infinite so read at your own risk: . . . . . . . . . I, like Sam, also enjoy Halo lore, but I am more invested in it because of the characters... I am particularly interested in Master Chief, Cortana, and to some degree The Arbiter. I haven't played Halo Infinite (yet) but I truly hate how Cortana's story is being handled. Master Chief and Cortana are a duo in my mind that should not be separated. I hate the concept of "rampancy" and how AI's age by thinking themselves to death. I don't know if this concept comes from 343 or from Bungie, but I wish they would have gone a different route. Adding insult to injury, instead of letting Cortana have a meaningful "death", they turned her crazy and evil and force you to fight against Cortana. This feels wrong to me in the same way it felt wrong to play as Locke to chase down Master Chief - why? I don't want to. I like Master Chief... Here's to hoping Halo Infinite will make all of that worth it one way or another...

Hellblade is not getting half the respect it deserve. The trailer IS gameplay. It's not an action game in the traditionnal sense, but it's a psychological thriller with action. It's gonna be a sleeper hit.

Please, for the love of god, do not let Sam talk about Hellblade anymore. Not sure if he played the first one, but if he did, he totally missed the point. If Hellblade 2 doesn’t continue in the same general vibe as the first game (it looks like it will to a mild extent), then there is no point in making a sequel. The whole point of the first game and what made it great was the battle against ones own psychosis, if that can’t be appropriately replicated in the sequel then don’t both making it.

They didn't really react to the show. Didn't go over any of the game Award winners let alone Game of the Year winner.

Harmony of Dissonance is not definitively better than Circle of the Moon. There are some things about it that are better, but I'd say the Card system in CotM is much more interesting and varied than the Spellbooks in HoD. The soundtrack to HoD is arguably the worst in any 2D Castlevania, honestly headache inducing. The color palette is pretty awful, multiple rooms in HoD are empty and boring, just running through horizontal corridors, drop down, run the opposite direction, over and over. Also, NO BREAKABLE WALLS. Castlevania is much better with secrets, and HoD has none. The "gimmick" of the game being an A and B castle that just have a different color swap is really confusing and it's just really not fun filling out your map. The only thing HoD has going for it is nicer sprites and cooler looking bosses, and more of them. The only gripe I can understand with CotM is that it controls stiffer than the other GBA titles, closer to the original Castlevania games, but I honestly prefer the more deliberate controls of CotM to the floatiness of HoD. CotM > HoD

So far, I dont really care terribly much for 'The Weapon' in Halo. Mainly I just don't like her writing while out in the world. Especially the canned dialogue whenever you clear a F.O.B or rescue a group of marines. Stuff like: "And that's why you are a legend' ' These marines will live to fight another day, Chief. And its all thanks to you" Etc It is SOOOOOOO cringey. I like her more during the actual scripted story moments though.

Is it just me or does the scoop crew hype up every game and then a week later it’s just alright to them? Anyone remember how high they were on forza and then it’s like it never existed now. Would like to see the crew step back and think about if the game is good past the honeymoon phase. Cuz half these game are good for 1-2 hours then go no where

But all games should be croas play. That are not console exclusive. Timed console content would be even sweeter. If i could crush some spawn and Hiachi as link. Or load into avengers as spider man. Or rocking a halo gun in CoD and melting Sony ponys. Or crushing skulls as Kratos in something
