It was quite entertaining to see GB in the top division but the better team won here. Austria was playing well this tournament for sure.

Second game in a row Great Britain scored a goal with the skate... Since when do we have UEFA referees in Ice hockey?

Been rooting for and following the Brits closely ever since 2019 so this is a bit of a downer for me. Then again I also rooted for Austria to stay instead of Italy in 2019

Both teams showed plenty of heart this year but Austria are just a bit better. Also so many injuries for Brits didnt help. Come back again!

This was a good game. Very sad to see GB go down to Div 1A. Please don't give up my fellow Brits, you should be proud for what you guys have achieved in the last 5 years. Double promotion, survived relegation in the first attempt, then you had a good tournament last year with Liam Kirk. This season was unfortunate, you did a good comeback against Norway, and you were close both against Latvia and Austria. I really hope you guys get the opportunity to return. Best of luck in the future GB.

I can’t find a team in the group that’s been worse so I understand but I’ll be gutted not watching GB next year :( My partner is Czech so I’ve still got a team to support but it’s always nice having your country in the tournament.

The Austrians looked paralyzed in the second period and GB quite frankly should have barried the game with their 4 breakaway chances you squander chances like that it will come back to bite you and it did in the third once Austria 🇦🇹 got their first goal and started playing physical Austria were clearly the better team and they have been through out the tournament a team who ties with the US and wins over czhezia shouldn't be relegated but it was very close for that to happen in the second ggs to Austria for fighting back and staying up:).

Wanted GB to win, but they fell apart in the 3rd period. Totally blew that power play and got sloppy on defence. It would have been nice if they stayed up 1 more year so they got the record (longest they had been in championship dev since ww2), but they didn't close the game. That simple.

I was rooting for Austria. Congrats.

If GB had decent goalie they would have won. But he was complete hole in the net.

Austria showed willingness and ability to fight and stay in Top Division. If Austria won against USA they would probably go to semifinals. USA winning over Norway would cause Austria and USA being with same number of points, but Austria would be winner in USA-Austria game so they would continue probably.

2nd team GB goal was a bit of a joke, there was a clear motion with the skate, since when those sort of goals are allowed ? Not the first one socred that way in this tournament.

I feel bad for Britain. They were better than Austria. Austria should be the country demoted, not Britain.
